So... recently I have attended performances of Spamalot and Wicked.

Spamalot wasn't really worth the money I paid [£55]. Eric Idle must a have great many more fridges full of cash. Overall Spamalot is entertaining, it's just not very satisfying, it's OK, but is some way off from being great. The performances were mixed, the songs were mixed, the satire was weak and and uninspired, the sillyness wasn't that silly. And next to none of it was clever.
At times I felt that Python wannabe students could have done something less insulting to the original material being "lovingly ripped-off".
My second favourite Python song of all time is 'Never Be Rude To An Arab'. But the song about needing a jew just doesn't translate from New York to London in my honest opinion.

Anyhoo...

Wicked however, whih I managed to catch before they put the prices up by a fiver, was more tan worth the time money and effort.
I met one of the lighting engineers at a beer festival last year and his wife was the costume designer for the show. The costumes were absolutely, gorgeously brilliant, as were the performances, the singing, dancing and political commentary running underneath it all. Couldn't fault it at all. I'd love to see it again sometime.

I look forward to seeing Avenue Q.

I'm still without a computer at home. I don't when I'll get it back yet, either.

I'm still quite jealous... I won't have the time to go do many things like that, I just planned my schedule for next semester... *shudders*

Well you must get on and do that 2legs!

Do you mean you wanted to or would have liked to have or both? I'm sure something could have been arranged if we had communicated a bit better. When are you next in the country?

Better off as a witch -- more moonlight rituals in the nuddie dancing about great phallic rocks.

Sounds waaaaay too cold to me! Britain is not a country to do the skyclad thing in, unles of course one is very drunk. Mead is nice and warming.

But, no.

Did I tell you about the standing stone we had at our farm? My stepdad used to tell gullible hippies that if they danced round it naked three times, they'd find a crock of gold or see fairies or something. Just as well it was before the days of YouTube!

I guess I'm the only one that finds that funny rather than depressing.
The Cash version, that I identify with and can bring me down...

Tut tut -- such malevolent evil is unbecoming in a lady.

Has anyone else been pondering this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlbSWz36_-M

Also I do love Little Shop Of Horrors and that's in London on stage too... But could it beat the film?

It'll be January before Burton's Sweeney Todd is released, if it happens on schedule.
