The eyes reveal at most that my computer is online... Not even that there's about a 20 minute delay before they vanish after a sign out.

Not that I'm looking at hootoo, or am in any condition to be convivial.

I've been dropping in, in hopes someone will know how to almost magically fix the woes my laptop has suddenly developed.

Not really been online. Looking at the monitor not knowing how to fix it, or find a solution myself, nor being able listen to any media just ratchets up the tension it leads me to have.

I'm gonna pop over to the thread and add I've found at least a half a dozen other malfunctioning .dll things and attempt to leave the computer alone until someone here or a friend that understands these infernal devices can help me out.

Yup.
I lent my blank discs to my mum's neighbour. Then she moved and they ended up at hers.
And... I kept forgetting to bring them back with me when I visit, and told myself it's didn't matter so much, I'd pick 'em next time, no need to rush out buy some more.

Yeah, I tried a system restore a couple of hours ago. Was terrified I wouldn't even be able to get online again.
I still can. But it didn't fix anything.
