Perhaps later then, you can drop a note about it to my MSN/Hotmail line.
I just read, and unsubbed, from your journal. I don't know either person, so it's not one I can really contribute to, eh?

jinty is in her late 60's and has done wonders in learning how to use a pc in the past couple of years.
but has a few health problems. old age isnt helping, but she has a good family around her and helps out whenever they can.
it is surprising how the LD family has still carried on and you get to find out about other members whenever they have problems and its nice to be able to help, even if its just to wish them well

im not a lover of ommelettes. i dont mind my eggs cooked in any other way, but not them.

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Jan 25, 2006
I quite like them, and they are an easy way to use up small measures of left-overs.
Hello, Lady Helen
serenity Posted Jan 25, 2006
it depends on how small the measure is and what it is..
we have what we call 'bubble and squeak'. mashed potato and any green veg, just fried to reheat it.
and im always making a soup or stew with leftover sunday dinner ingredients.
no one ever starves in this household

Yes, I have heard of bubble-n-squeak. Such a precise recipe involved, ... what-ever you've got, mash it and fry it. Yummy.

there is no precise recipe as such.. its all a matter of taste and whats leftover.
i prefer mine with potatoes and sprouts. grumpy has cabbage as well as sprouts.. i dont like cabbage. my ex used to just have peas
ive heard that some people use whatever there is, carrots, swede etc etc.
i have been known to double up the veg on the first day, to make sure there is some leftover
i have one particular pan which makes the contents stick, so you get nice brown crunchy bits
i guess you would like to eat at my house then

I'm not at all keen on brussels sprouts, or cabbage, once cooked. But as a guest, I will eat a measure of anything that is offered.
And naturally, crunchy bits are essential.
