If I don't, I will feel guilty for not having done my bit ... And generally give up the right to b*tch, moan and whinge about the idiots that will run our country (or not) for the next handful of years.

i have never ever voted in my life. the country is in enough of a mess without my help.
i dont complain about whats happening, but i do have my own ideas as to how to run the country and it would be a helluva lot better than it is right now.
maybe its because im a woman

I grew in a family where some things are just seen as the right things to do. Vote when it happens, donate blood if and when you can, and do what you can for the real charities. AFTER your own family is tended first, of course.
We had one woman Prime Minister, ... for about 3 months. And even then, she was kinda offered up as the sacrificial lamb of a very tired and lame party.

ive never donated blood, but my mom used to.
ive never made regular donations to charity other than to buy raffle tickets, but i used to give my time to such charitable events, which to me is more valuable than money.

With us, charity is also giving of our time with the local service clubs that we respect. Hey, we all simply do what we can, eh? Blood was never a problem for me, ... since I frequently enough let some stupidly.

Mine is "common as dirt", same as the rest of me. Simple type O, rh positive. Something like 40-some-percent of the world with the same stuff.

Awww, isn't you sweet?
I'm soon away to build a light supper. Is your night going nicely on the various wires?
