I know I saw an article about it somewhere, but I wouldn't trust it. The author was last seen being carried off by a couple of large'ish chaps with nets.

are you trying to lull me into a false sense of security???

I've heard that these coats also come in a very durable canvas-like material. And come with three meals a day, a nicely padded room, and some of the est drugs ever !!!

there are times in my life when that would be a most appealing situation to be in.
except for the drugs bit.. then again ..........

How's you, girl? I'm in the living room with a portable PC, and not really accessible to the mails at the moment ...

I spent a bit of time Friday night, wiring a connection from the PC and router stuff to the living room. So the used notebook, that may die any day, can be used for simple browser stuff. But mails will still be dealt with in the basement office ...
So what kinda stuff did you get up to this week-end? Any road trips perhaps, to novel parts of the region?

Sometimes, I think the time and experiences with the grand-kids is simply parctice time. For when we reach our true senility.

up until a couple of weeks ago, she didnt do much with him.
she was civil and laughed and joked, but kept her distance.
she hasnt had much contact with men in her life so far.
she had never been a kissy huggy type child and you are lucky to get a wave
she would come and do anything for me(maybe because i feed and change her when necessary)and is always playing in my handbag.
she loves my money, credit cards and mobile phone and comb.
but it seems as though, i am now redundant. i dont mind.
i would rather she did have more to do with him as he is her biological grandfather.
i know he is a pain, but i used to feel for him as he sat there and wasnt getting any interaction.
we both come home and sit for ages thinking back over the conversations we have with her and laugh at her comments
i know she is ours as such which makes us that bit prouder, but she is too bright for her age.
we dread to think what will happen when she goes to school

If they have a good start at home, continuing good examples there, an d a whole lot of , they'll turn out fine. Rebecca is 'ours' by step, but no less our princess and grand-daughter. And so far, she and Nicky are doing just fine in school, socializing, ... Basically meeting the real world.
And I am equally proud of all 3 kids.

If it wouldn't have been simple biological luck, I'd have no kids at all. This marriage having proven to be unable ... So I count my blessings daily, and they include a fine daughter to be proud of, her hubby, and the 3
s they've put together. Plenty enough to keep me grinning for a lonnnnng time.

We went through the signing in process for adoptions in 3 different parts of Canada. But finally, after interminal waiting, decided it was too late. If we would have proved lucky when I was 40, ... how ever would we understand the child when he/she hit their teens?
