The Board

The board is a three foot square resting on four short legs which raise the playing surface an inch or so from the ground. There is a round hole at each corner, each being one and a half times the diameter of a draughts/checkers piece. A square is drawn inside the board about two inches from the outer edge. A further square is drawn about one inch further in from the first square. This leaves a thin track around the inside of the board. An arrow extends from each corner of the track formed by the lines towards the centre, terminating when the points are six inches apart. There is a circle in the centre of the board large enough to contain 21 draughts pieces.
