Something finally goes right for VV!!!!

Well. before I went to Nodnol on Friday, I had an interview to become an Executive Secretary. This was the second interview and apparently it was only down to two people. I didn't think I did very well at the second interview, but i was so exited about going to Nodnol that I wasn't really bothered.

I'm not going into details about the meet because everyone else has summed it up so lovely (my smiley - love to you all and thank you for making me smiley - smiley).

We finally got home on the train on Sunday after having to stop at some unknown station after major signalling problems. All trains on that line had to stop. We thought we would be in for a long wait after the train manager said they were opening the doors for people to go and stretch their legs. smiley - yikes

We did finally get going again and it wasn't that long a wait. The engineers must have worked their balls off!!

Then we had a big delay near Birmingham International as there was a suspect package. I'm not sure if it was at the station or at the airport. We finally got back 15 minutes late after making up another 15 minutes.

Anyways, this morning I turned on my other mobile phone and sat and waited to see if it would ring. It didn't. I said to by brother in law that I didn't think I'd got the job but I did feel proud of myself for getting to the last two.

Anyways. 6.30pm this evening I got a phone call.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!! smiley - disco I can't believe it!!!!

The job is £5k a year more than what I am on now and I'm now an Executive Secretary working for the head honcho!!!

It's about time something went right for me.

My dad says I should do the lottery smiley - winkeye

Vicki Virago on her own

Approximately 12 hours ago my husband told me that he no longer wants to be with me.

What will happen now? I have no idea. I am in Devon, at my sister in laws (who is lovely by the way) and I'm on my own away from my family.

I will be moving in with my sister on Tuesday so what will happen after that, I have no idea.

Happy Easter every one.

No mopeds just yet

After quite some time away from the site, I'm afraid, I am still away. I've just popped on to say just a few things. (Actually it might turn out to be a lot of things. I'm not sure yet. Depends how I feel whilst I'm typing this smiley - winkeye).

Number 1.

I lurk you know. I lurk a lot. I might not be logged on, but I see and hear a lot of things. Just to let you know that I get sad when I hear or see sad news, but I get happy when I see happy stuff too. Just because I don't type my responses on here anymore, I do think of you lot.

Number 2.

Whilst lurking, I see many, many things. Stuff that makes me howl out loud and stuff that gets me just plainly p*ssed *ff. I don't think it's a good idea to talk about all that stuff, but if I feel like flaming a situation, I might just get a bit of fun out of it at the same time. Some of you will know what reference this is to, some of you wont. If you don't, don't start to dig.

Number 3.

The Virago has yet to have a baby moped. For those of you who don't know, on New Years Day myself any G started on the road to trying to have a baby. Crossy fingers everyone! (Or should that be crossy legs!!!).

A sadness has befallen us

As you will all know, my Aunty had a beautiful baby boy a few days ago. He was a big boy weighing in at over 11 lb.

Today my Aunty went home.

Today the family was told the devastating news.

My Aunty's cancer has returned. It is in her pelvis.

It is terminal.

smiley - cry

VV will keep everyone informed on mum's progress

As most of you know, mum's off for a little operation this morning. We're not too sure what time it will take place, but I do know that even if it's later on in the morning, she should be home by around 2.00pm.

Mum should pretty much be at the hospital now. She's bound to be very nervous.

I'm going to ring the hospital around 11.00am just to see whether she's had the op and whether or not she's recovering ok from it.

Will speak to you all later smiley - cuddle
