ismarah - fuelled by M&Ms

Although Iceland is technically not supposed to be on GMT, we are. I don´t know who decides this, but since it doesn´t matter much to us, GMT it is, all year round.

Ismarah - there is a time zone code called WET (Western Europe Time) that is equal to GMT in time - I've not figured out yet which countries sort under the WET, but maybe Iceland would fit in?

Do you currently have Daylight Saving Time?

I´m sorry Titania, I didn´t see the WET smiley - sadface
To answer your question, no, we do not have Daylight Savings Time now, in fact we never have DST.
In the winter time it´s always dark and in the summer time it´s always light. So why bother? We are smiley - weird

Then you don't fit in the WET time zone either - during DST they are called WEST...

...hmmmmm... every time zone also has a one letter name, arranged alphabetically around the smiley - earth - I think I'll place Iceland in the 'Z' zone, which is equal to GMT...

smiley - wow I've only used one of those one-letter time zones before, and that was for Bahrain (they have no time zone code specific for their country nor their part of Asia)!smiley - bigeyes

This thread was started by a researcher in a time zone identical with GMT, but outside of the UK

PS: The reason for previous posting is that I try to keep the number of conversations down to a minimum, meaning there won't be so many threads for me to trawl through when updating the time zone table!smiley - smiley

logicus tracticus philosophicus

would that be bankers time or civil service time, because some time a week is five day and others its nine days, and is bristol time still an hour ahead of London time,
