h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've been invited to a uni interview at edinburgh napier
on the sighthill campus
only problem is...
I've no idea how to get around edinburgh
I dont know where I'm going.... or staying
I've got to be there for 9am so I'll have to stay in edinburgh the night before...
I've booked train tickets £42 return for a first class ticket
(because i want them to feed me and well apparently a standard single can set you back as much as £65!!

so now i need to find somewhere to stay on the 31st of March
and then I go home again on the first of april after my interview which could last till 4pm...

thats a long interview day...

I dont have a good feeling about this

the interview went ok i think
the uni was quite nice I really enjoyed the trip

getting some really strange emails from glasgow calidonian about meetings i must attend (despite not having accepted a place) which is putting me off of considering it as a place - they demand that i attend a meeting on april 9th, they told me about it last week which apparently was the earliest possible opportunity, and my place is conditional upon going to such meetings... yes plural because there will be more... how can any institution demand that people travel cross country (or even from overseas there are quite a few Irish applicants) to a meeting/information session from 1 to 4... so three hours
I have to go four hours on a train for a three hour meeting... and then get home again if i book tickets today it will cost about £27 with a rail card so not too bad but... I'm just annoyed i guess

I really want to move... I am enjoying living here less and less as time goes on, some of you may know some of the reasons for this but partly Scotland will always be home... and I want to go home...
but its such hard work finding a house and planning the move and finding Joe something to do (he wants to do a research masters in ceramics but the only uni offering it is manchester met) but I dont want to be tied to here....
it seems one of us will loose out and I'm afraid i know which one...

It's still on our conversations list, though, Anthea. Sometimes we have to make life changes, but they may not turn out to be the ones we thought they would be.

There may be similar courses at the Glasgow school if art, or DoJ plus you will be closer to mee!
