I'm hoping to go into learning disability nursing, I dont really need to do this course as I've technically got the entry qualifications but i missed the interview for the course i wanted to do and I dont really want to spend a year not doing anything so I decided to do this access course... its a lot of essay writing but its good to get back into the academic way of doing things I guess.

so i gave in to my nagging fear and emailed the tutor,
apparently she has pleurisy
but she did say this "Try not to worry I am sure it will not need too much change measuring it from your previous work."

eh.... not as reassuring as she assumes...

so I've booked some train tickets for the 7th of December to go see my gran for her birthday party
cost me just over £30 with a student rail card which i don't think is too bad,
so now I'm looking for something to wear to the party but I'm finding it rather difficult I'd like to wear a dress but I can't find any that have long sleeves go past my knees and don't have animal print... I dont want to look like a 'professional' at a funeral either...
it might be safer to go with a skirt and blouse...
I'm sort of looking forward to it, although a 400 mile round trip is nothing to be sneared at...

Joe did some more painting in the living room today so thats nearly finished now but we will need another tin of paint and whatever we're going to do to the shelves...

Just when I'm moving away from West Coast Town you finally come up

the horribleness of life conspiring to keep hitchikers apart,

well today has been dull...
I went grocery shopping, smile don't make eye contact,
wash the dishes,
missionarys came... smile smile get them back out the door,
cooked dinner, lamb chops yum yum,
take the boys to bed in a minute or ten
then, then off to training
topped off with beddies time!


well I suppose its not been too bad it just feels... long
bought some hair dye, i suppose I should see if i can get it cut before i go to grans but plenty of time for that yet.

I dont think they do hairdressing at college unfortunately

mmm hot chocolate sounds so tempting but I think I'll save it for tomorrow night,
all sleepies now after training

It has been ages since we splattered the bathroom

Hiccup has some 'vibrant ginger' to go though, could get in as a natural colour, so long as the sun didn't shine while nipping through gate patrol

Thankfully college doesn't bat an eyelid at these sorts of things

today was class... tomorrows class is cancelled tutor is ill
but we still have to go in to make up for the class that got cancelled last week... so who knows when we will be forced to make up the hours for physiology


stood in town for half an hour... in the dark to wait for a bus
I really need to find my gloves

sorry if last nights journal was a bit... nonsensical
it was Charlie's bed time and I was on duty so I didnt have long to type

last week, tuesdays class was cancelled due to tutor illness but we are being made to make up the hours that we missed by coming in during our own time, this is difficult 1) because it costs me £12 a day to get in before lunch costs...
2)the tutor isnt always avaliable and she needs to be there
3)we're not allowed to make it up in individual study time

so today when I'm meant to be in human physiology which has been cancelled because the tutor is ill...
I will instead be making up some of the hours missed from last tuesday
then next Wednesday we will hopefully be in human physiology till three but I will be in college till six making up another three hours of study missed last tuesday... then on top of that the situation will repete itself with us having to make up human physiology hours...
so all in all it's not a great thing.
and we've just been told that our level three unit for tuesday has been changed because we were the only college locally doing that unit and Acentus refuse to moderate one college so we have to switch to a different unit (sociology) which I suppose isn't too bad (since we havnt started the work yet) but it will mean we have no level 2 grounding of the subject which i think leaves us at a disadvantage...



All in all I am not impressed with this course it seems poorly cobbled together with little thought of how it will actually work,

our tutor today was off as well I'm beginning to think they don't like us at least they managed to find a replacement (an English teacher)for 'study skills' class, I find the class a general waste of time but can't complain too much I like the other ones ok but study skills is only worth three credits so it dosn't seem worth the bother for the amount of work we've been given

on another thought... kebab night tonight i think, I've been salivating over the thought of it all day like some pavlovian dog the only problem is its at least another couple of hours till dinner time... that's the only problem with finishing at 12.30 it means I don't eat lunch which means now I'm hungry... I did have pasta for breakfast though...
I guess I should just grab a sandwich on my way home but I want to get upto the train station in plenty of time... for them to punish us for buying tickets by putting on some old rickety thing with dangerous looking gaps round the doors, the train bounces round the corners rather than turning and when it passes another train you can feel it... the wave of air rushes past and you feel glad that your safe at the other end when you finally get off of the thing...

might go take a shower while I'm waiting for dinner,

the weather is getting rather chilly
I have to pull my hat over my ears because they get sore in the cold
we put Charlie in his push along bike thing and went to the shops for some milk and some potatoes then to the butcher to get some meat for dinner today and tomorrow

I like our local butchers shop the staff are quite friendly and if you go in at about three on a Friday your likely to find that any left over baked goods are half price today they had cheese and onion pie things... Joe doesn't like cheese and they had baked custard tarts, I don't like baked custard tarts. so the baked goods stayed with the butcher, when there are cherry pies... then we both love cherry pies
I think I've got some frozen rhubarb so I really should make a rhubarb pie... although I've been thinking of adding some to some scones to see what the result is I quite like baking but i prefer things you don't have to stick your hands in, Unfortunately scones do not fall into this category but they are well received when i do bake them, perhaps if the kitchen isn't too messy I shall bake some tomorrow... grenadine goes very well with poached rhubarb but we don't have any

Right what else... Charlie is watching Peppa pig, I have no paticular problem with peppa but he cries when it finishes and it gets a bit annoying after a while,
