Yep,we believe you.And the fact that he had loose morals and broke his wedding vows - ditto on my dad, only for some strange reason he has morals.

I'd just like to point out you can have a very strong moral code without it encompassing monogamy. Although entering into marriage obviously doesn't fit in with that code...

My dad's had one girlfriend - who is still married - ever since he and my mum divorced.Of course, she was the woman he cheated with anyway. That was...split up nearly ten years ago, divorce came through five or six...ten years.
My mum's been with Derek nearly six,and they've just moved in together. My dad's still pretending Sheila doesn't exist to his family.
And Pysc,it doesn't matter whether his morals involved monogamy - the fact is,he had a wife and two kids under 8 years old and he ran up huge debts his then ex-wife had to pay.So excuse me if I don't agree.

My dad left me and my mum when I was about a year old, so I never knew him.
7 years after that he had my sister - christina - and a few years after that another divorce.
Last yeah he got married to another woman, who already has two children.
Then again my dads clearly not child raising material. As he's said on several occasions 'bring them back when there older'.
But in turn if my dad hadnt of left my mum, I would have no sister. And my mums psychotic. I do not begrudge him not wanting to spend 18 years of his life with her. I've had to - I wish I had another choice.
And I notice you only said men. Women are equally psychotic.

We tend not to run away from our responsibilities as much.

That and the fact that usually the mother gets custody perhaps...
My dad tried to get custody, but it dragged on for months so it as having a bad affect on me. He dropped the case and went one way, me and the mother went the other.
He tried to get custody again with my sis but the same thing happens. Court favors the mother.
Maybe in a bad world when I get divorced ill get to dress up as batman and climb up something

I'm all for Father s For Justice, but my dad never tried for custody. At first, when he and my mum split up and they were still talking,it was only different that he wasn't there at night,he worked so much.So there was no point in having custody. He's very ambiticous,it's all about the job. That's why I'm going to live with him when I'm at Napier Uni - I can look after myself then.

How can you say then, that men tend to run away from there responsabilities when it comes to being fathers?
Ahhhh Don't Panic!!!!
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Mar 25, 2005
Yeah, that is a bit of a massive sweeping generalisation.

But non would have got custody thats my point - even if they'd tried they would have lost.
You cant say they always run away from there responsabilities if they never get a chance to be a father in the first place.
I wont go into details as to why my dad left my sisters mother, but it was probably one of the best reasons you can get for a divorce. The mother still got custody.

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Mar 25, 2005
So let's remove AD's dad (who originally tried for custody - hardly an abandonment of his responsibilities.) and there's two examples. I can name 2 examples of other estranged fathers trying for custody, then we've got Father's for Justice.
That hardly supports your (woefully inaccurate) generalisation that given a choice, men will abandon their responsibilities. Ok, there's a few who do, but that's no reason to place a slur on a whole 50% of the population.

49% I beleve...
anyway lets leave the fathers debate, I dont get on with mine
then again I talk to neather parent now.
so before you hit a sore spot can I say that both members of the parental duo can be equally irresponsable

I'm not divorced and me and my ex both have good reasons for this, if we ever get divorced I will get custody, he wouldn't fight me but in return I would grant him equal access I have no problems with this as we are now on very good terms, it wasn't 5 years ago and things got very ugly but that's the past.

I know women can be irresponsible,I didn't say they weren't.
So not all men are pigs.I will point out my experience of men has been cr*p,as apart from my father,my own ex cheated on me.I've been off serious relationships since.
Okay,off the subject now.
Men make up 48% of the average world population, actually.
