Kevin 1 catapults peanuts at the feral pigeons that insist on infesting our downstairs roof. I swear the buggers are learning to catch them with their wings! When I get downstairs to the kitchen first thing, I am greeted by over a dozen pigeon's vents all snuggled up against the window... Lovely! I'm almost dreading the warmer weather when we can have the windows open again.. the feral population will calmly coo in and take over any uncluttered surface at the rate they're breeding......

Deep Thought from Kevin no1 (I've got 2 teenaged boys for my sins Jinty, namely Kevin 1 and Kevin 2 for the sake of this forum).
At the tender age of 16 he has come up with his first philosophical question:
Why are Jaffa Cakes called Jaffa Cakes and why do we keep them in the biscuit tin if they're cakes? Why don't the other biscuits go soggy?
As the thread is currently called "Eating" (unless Tef changes it, of course) it seemed as good a place as any to post it.

Ooooh - Well it's Jaffa 'cos that's where the oranges came from at the time they were producing the "cake" first I think
But as for the cake/bicuit question - I suspect that was McVities marketting people - or whoever makes them
