Heard about the West Wing being cancelled last night and I'm thoroughly displeased. I'd have thought they would have got at least to the end of Bartlett's presidency.
It was a real shock and shame to hear about John Spencer dying when it happened, he seemed like a lovely bloke and I didn't realise he was even unwell.

Agree, agree.
I think they do get up to the end of Bartlet's presidency though. I've only seen up to series 5, but as I understand it it's going to finish at the end of series 7 and I think there will be a new President in place.

Ah, I'd thought it was a year for each year of the Bartlett presidency.
I'm not sure which season I'm currently watching on More4, it's dealing with the candidates for the Democractic nomination, and I want to find out who wins. So I guess I'm gald they install the next president, because not knowing would be irritating

Right, that'd make sense. I'd get the DVD, it's woth watching.
A friend got every episode on DVD for Christmas, I'm very jealous.

I've got them all up to series 5 - I really want to see series 6 to find out what happens in the aftermath of Gaza (DO NOT tell me, please! ) but my mom and dad are watching series 6 and they tell me it's very interesting but not as dramatic.
The dvds are quite cheap on Amazon.

My lips are sealed. Not to give anything away, but your parents are right, it isn't as overtly dramatic, but the dialogue and the political stuff is as good as, if not better than, it's always been
