Happy Birthday Jazz!

Let's hope for the best...nice slow descent into the (hopefully restful & reasonably uneventful) weekend!
Happy Birthday Jazz!

I'll take the slow peaceful descent into the weekend instead of the rapid descent into madness, any day.
Will you be celebrating at the club tonight?
Happy Birthday Jazz!

Yeah, should be an interesting show too so that's good! Read about the featured musician this morning...seems to think like I would, except that he plays full-time in a military band (on hiatus right now).
Happy Birthday Jazz!

You're welcome. I don't mind putting good news in my {ad space} one bit.
How was the evening at the club?
Happy Birthday Jazz!

Fine, I actually got to sit back & watch the show, since there were ayoung guy & girl in the kitchen(who seemed...uh very close - as in likely dating or something.) So my presence was pretty irrelevant - I seemed to be largely ignored...not to mention the fact that I was quite content to give them their privacy. My brother - who was helping a culinary buddy with some catering in the area - even dropped in with a piece of tiramisu for me! Bit of background, this buddy of his Eli had been living in NYC at the time of 9/11 & I guess it really did a number on his psyche...he just felt he had to get out (afterwards), & so he returned here.
Happy Birthday Jazz!

I'm glad you had such a nice evening. That's nice of your brother to drop in and say hello(and bring dessert too).
I understand about his friend. My older brother is still in New York and wants to come back here. And, is doing everything he can to that end.
My day was okay. This morning I had a major haircut (several inches and probably quite a few ounces). Other than that, I've caught up on the sleep I missed earlier in the week. Next is and some chores...*sigh*
Next weekend promises to be a bit more exciting. A trip to New Orleans looms in the distance.
Happy Birthday Jazz!

Ah that sounds great...the trip to New Orleans! While I didn't get a haircut, I started my day earlier than usual yesterday & got my beard trimmed...actually back to what's called (or used to be) a "Van Dyke" (sp?) - the mustache/goatee thing.
Had some real hassles even connectinng to the internet this morning. Had replyed to a couple e-mails...but they just went to my 'outbox'/wouldn't 'send'...fair enough, I thought "ok, it's something temporary". After replying to a couple more, they still wouldn't send, so I left the computer & did more than just nibble at breakfast...to make a long story short, after lunch I called my ISP's tech support, but then later had a of a time getting into hootoo!*rolls eyes* BTW, was using a computer with XP Pro yesterday & was Really impressed with the initial "feel"/usability.
Oh & yes, got on too!
Happy Birthday Jazz!

*sips freshly brewed (I know it's later than is probably good for me, but it's going to be a late night)*
Did the tech support actually solve the problem? I use xp pro at work and xp home at my house. My win 98 computer still works, it just isn't connected to the internet, currently. To me, the interface of xp is kind of annoying. A few minutes in the control panel and settings folder fixed that.
My new home computer and the the office computers were bought at the same time, all from Dell. We all had to learn xp pro at the same time... and I was learning xp home as well. I prefer wordperfect to word as the word processing program for one main reason(besides it not having paperclippy): You can choose which of the several dictionaries to use and which version of English to spellcheck.
Happy Birthday Jazz!

Actually yes they (tech support) did, they ran a little test of some sort on my modem that must've nudged it back into operational mode.
Hmmm, speaking of dictioary, I've got an interesting link I thought I'd pass along: http://www.hyperdictionary.com/
