Let's see. Had the bone scan done. Won't know the results until I go back to the pain specialist next Weds. Am continuing therapy and the variety pack of meds. My arm is still worthless.
The boss inspected the park today. Fortunately, he was on good behavior. His level of sensitivity about my medical problems lately has left me in a mood where it would have gotten really ugly if he'd crossed me.
Right at the moment, I'm listening to Bat Out of Hell at decibels not QUITE enough to cause your ears to bleed, and drinking fairly serious quantities of .
That's about it, I reckon...

Eagles' greatest hits and here...not quite as much fun...
Is it me, or is the title "Pain Specialist" a bit misleading? What is the bone scan supposed to prove/disprove? I hope it's good news.

Hi Evangeline!
"Physiatrist" is his actual title, for whatever that's worth. The bone scan is a diagnostic tool for RSD, and shows them something about bone density, if I understand it correctly. They injected me with radioactive dye, kicked me out for 3 hours, then took pictures of how the dye was absorbed.
At least this time it only took them 2 times to insert the IV, instead of the 3 tries during my surgery...

So, the title "Pain Specialist" is still open for an occupation?
Bone density is a good thing to have. I take supplemental calcium/magnesium, and a multi vitamin for that very reason.
Radioactive is not a good thing...take those cleansing herbs and vitamins to get that out of your system, quickly.
Ouch! I've never had an IV, and will probably faint if someone tries to insert one.

Fortunately, a friend went with me to distract me from fainting, running away or injuring the nurse ...

That was my first choice, too, but then it was pointed out that I can't get therapy for my arm if I'm in jail

I've just been trying to keep my head above water. Lately, that feels like a full time job.

If you need to talk, you have my IMs and email.
Can you take time off from your job to sort out the health issues?

I appreciate that!
We're in our busiest season right now... Spring is always nuts. Just missing time for the various appointments is all I can afford right now

Any time you need to say something, email or IM.
Too bad about it being the busy season. Should I advertise the competition?

By all means, please do spread the word to go elsewhere!!!
Yeah, we'll be packed for another 2 to 4 weeks with spring breakers, snowbirds headed back north, etc. Then it'll die off when it starts getting hot.
Though it was in the 80's already today, which was more than hot enough for me!

*starts a campaign to vacation elsewhere...(you saw that coming, didn't you?) *
It was already in the upper 70s here. Thank goodness for air conditioners. Who are these people that enjoy heat? We get tourists all summer, why? I would rather be any where that isn't glaringly bright and oppressively hot.

Yeah, a new campaign isn't a big surprise!
I totally agree. By the time I get home on a hot day, all I want to do is lay on the couch and cool off.
So how've you been lately? Things alright in your end of the swamp?

I'm doing okay. Most of my news and stuff is in my journals.
Today wasn't so bad, I got to do my job almost all day. I've ended up in the kitchen twice this week because we were short handed.
The trial has been delayed until May. So, that complicates the trip planning.
