Today is International Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman's Day!
I have received this message from a Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman!
Motto to live by:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other,(substitute appropriate things in hand for *you)
A body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride! You don't stop laughing when you get old, you get old when you stop laughing.

No! Not the neck
Posted Jan 23, 2006
Craptastic - the Nuerologists feels it is my neck causing the major problems.
Neck MRI tomorrow, then surgeon.
I was hoping the lower body stuff could be fixed by a lower back surgery once they started talking surgery. One of those on my low back worked so well and it is much less risky.
I wanted the low back to be the spot to enternot my neck.
Might be another round of sorry gotta live with it.

Why can't.....
Posted Jan 23, 2006
I understand why there is a neccesity for non-smoking bars ,and other public places. It does not work well to have partail smoking sections in the same building.
Why can't there be a provision for business ( mainly bars and food places) to apply for a smoking license?
Pay a fee just like business does for liquor license and have it posted as a smoking bar.
I do not know how the UK deals with liquor and/or licenses.
In the US some states have government liquor stores, some counties are totally dry ( no alcohol sales). Here they discuss different city or county rules.
Business would suffer if the customers could cross the street to get their preference.
Only those desiring to smoke will go into them and work in them.
It would be a low percentage of bars.
It does not work to have smoking sections and has been proved!
A federal license , apply like other types, be suspended if you allowed under age smoking. Have it be a governemnt smoking bar if neccessary with required good air circulation by the owners.

Update
Posted Jan 13, 2006
The last 2 experimental treatments have been disasterous.
One I would have traded the severe allergic reaction to sulfa for ( asuming the same survival)it was hellish.
*sigh*
May write more deatils later.
It may help my resentment that has been held to a minimum.
Going to Nuerologists again within a few weeks.
Had 2 appointments with other doc meantime.
Mri(s) coming again.
I hope they can see what they need to, so much bone is growing madly it will be amazing if they see a clear path. My spine is not stable enough for another laminectomy in the same area.
The bone will grow if cut into and the last thing I need are more bone spurs on my spine.
I have been only told 2 doctors in the whole state are approved for doing artifical disc implants in the neck. I had hoped by now it would be pretty rountine, as I was given that hope 7 years ago. I have no disc to speak of anywhere, no cushions.
Could be a while before that option is available. A few more are doing the artifical discs in the lower back.
I will have to read up.I wonder what they are filled with?
I like the idea of a small micro-surgery and know the Uk has been doing them.
Anybody with personal knowledge/experience of artificial disc success?
I was told it is normal for a patient in my position and medications to not be given sleeping medication. Too easy to off yourself.
I like having a blunt doctor, better than the alternative,
I am too tired to guess, I like medical information blunt.

just quiet
Posted Nov 29, 2005
Finally posted last night after a week
Not a new habit I am enjoying
Not getting much done, reading h2 a bit but not keeping up on reading either.
Waiting for surgical vs other unpleasant choices and decisions.
I am just plain scared to try another experimental nuerological medication.
Maybe I will change my mind, maybe not, for now I am listening to my inner voice that is screaming NO!
Twinny is pretty ok but could be a whole lot better , also waiting results on studies.
Several sad family notes, not up to reviewing them here and now.
I have especially enjoyed reading new people to me =
FF
and Wilma (brillant postings IMO) but have not said hello . Just thougth I'd mention themwho knows they may peek here. I did add a couple of friends for reading , hope I said something, meant to. I would like to add FF and Wilma but may take a while to get around to asking them!
Please yell *get off my list lurker!* if neccesary
Or better yet you can add me.
It is just easier to work from my page.
I'm certainly not trying to be a or exclusive, dismissive, intrusive , insulting or revolting
The site worked so poorly when I was doing better for a coupl eof hours that it added to my frustrations. I am trying to decrease frustrations.
Many others I reguarly talk to for years, I have not forgotten, following and wishing I was able to say more. Emails have been helpful! Thanks to those emailing me
Not a lot of good to say about the things going on in my country so being quietly sad. I hope the country comes to their senses as a whole. Freedom will not ring true until the truth rings louder. I am truly in shock about the amount of shameless and blatant lying at the top, the middle , the bottom and the press.....
*still has a child lock on fox news*
Till we meet again,I'll be missing you all. Happy Trails to you!
