abbi normal "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein

Hubby went to his 3rd appt for his much needed physical.
His stress test on the treadmill did not go well.

He may need more than one intervention.
We are waiting for the cardiac cath appt. ordered ASAP
The Dr said they would probably try stents but he is doubtful
They will do the job. He may need a valve and several vessels opened.
Hi father had 4 vessels and a valve.

I have worried about him the last few years.
Like so many people -
He delayed going because he thought something could be wrong.
In addition he ignored High BP / high Cholesteral/too fatty a diet

He made the appt after going to a funeral of another friend in his 50's whom died suddenly.

I am nervous about this.
I need to be strong and supportive.
The Dr is hoping he is getting there in time to extend his life.
Both my Dads, 3 siblings passed in their 50's from heart-
circulatory issues.

Like most health issues ,
you need to attend to problems early as possible.
I hope this is soon enough for something to be done for himsmiley - love

smiley - hug They can do really amazing things to improve heart problems these days. My dad had a multiple bypass and valve replacement and he came to Greece to visit us and had a terrific time. This was a number of years ago and I'm sure that the techniques have improved. It really did improve his quality of life. smiley - goodluck

Thank you everybody.

I was on a cardiac cath team in the late 70's.
It was not as common , it has become more so , with each decade.

I will trust that a good team will have him in their care, since we were
a very good team way back then!

It is good to recieve support smiley - smiley
It helps me be strong for himsmiley - loveso I'll take all I can get!

double bypass

Post 13

abbi normal "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein

Hubby got the double bypass.
He was not allowed to go after the testing.
He's home finaly. smiley - smiley

What an ordeal for him.
Tomorrow his sisters are coming to see him.

OUR dogs had to be sent to the sitters house.
Could be as long as 3 weeks
It is going to be strange without them for that long.

Hubby seems a tad depressed and scared ,not quite caught up to
what has happened to him. I can see why. I hope he remains
the good patient he has been so far. Mostly positive about his
future, more than recently, with such exhaustion.

He had lots of people supporting him. An enourmous selection of
spiritual folks from every sort of religion an philosophy and
those whom claim none, who are full of good wishes and acts.

He has always been and a help to many.
In practical ways, giving of himself.

I am grateful he is aive.
So is he.
Apparently alot if others too! smiley - love

That is good news. I know several people with heart bypasses who have gone on to do great things after the initial recovery period.

If he does things for other people that will motivate him - a purpose is the best tonic.

smiley - goodluck and smiley - hugsmiley - cuddle for you especially.
