What would be the perfected magical version of what could happen?
What is the minimally acceptable version I could settle for?

wow what a story. i can see someone would 'yiks' it. the saddest thing is that these yiksers are ordinary folk, just like us. somehow, they have chosen, to become the guardians of public morality and believe that their way is the preferred way. to me, this thinking is no different than informants, at best. i only wish these persons could spend a bit of time in a closed society - there are many such in africa and asia.

Add to that the unending roll of tasks that one must fulfill to hold up ones end, and I don't mean merely the nether end, either!

given responsibility for a growing youngster, being in the throes of forced changes in career, albeit probably good ones, and filled with a desire not to be overwhelmed and to resist injustice, one can tend to get spread a bit too thin, don't you agree?

but, do please believe me when I state that I value our conversation and apologize for being away for a rather long bit. Do, let us keep it up and continue to share ideas. I am in favor of a prompt return to democracy a prompt return of all of our civil rights and liberties. Any little thing in that direction is invaluable.

This is a Denver altrenative paper. They are very good. Their big stories always come years before they should in National news. I have seen a bit written about private prisons when they first came about. There has been a lot of trouble with the kiddielock-ups. Very bad reputation for those here. Any way I thought you'd be interested in this 40 billion dollar industry that is growing while the crime rate has been declining. They say the decline is due to having all the bad guys off the streets. They are so successful they want to build more. Successful in this corporation means the same as all others. They make money and whole new industries have started due to them. Progress. Grrrr There is a good bit about freedom of expression for prisons & employees. Very good series.

This is my favorite Denver paper. It is a weekly.
They are the ones that originally published the picture of the ratty 3 ft security fence the nuns took down(in my journal)
