Oh I know I do not mind hearing so.
I read things to see what spins and slants are being perpetrated.
Helps me understand how people get to think certain ways.
Sorry to be so cryptic, I was expecting you to read my mind.
It wassloppy.
I am a bit goofy with that same stubborn infection
Thanks. You ARE on top of stuff!
YAY!
I appreciate your follow-ups

thanks for your kind word, kind abbi!
i do constantly traverse the web for different flows and movements. i agree it is essential to know how the opposition is thinking; just at times one is blown away by the preposterous posits!
i have to try and remember to post a cogent and readable item that pulls together a diversity of ideas about current events. hope you'll like it and that it won't be censored off!
now, then, what is that has been ailing you? if you share, i promise to suggest some remedies ... to the best of my ability!

great link, thanks! it is on its way to my friends the world over...
i was going to suggest that, if what ails you causes pain or has to do with respiration, you may want to try acupuncture and medicinal herb teas to recover your health.
so...

Thanks doubly. I would like to do acupuncture again I think it could be helpful(more $$ later) I use acupressure throughout the day without thinking. It is incorporated automatically.
The herbs I am a bit afraid of. Been there. I would not discount them. For the moment not going for a new ones either
My problems are spinal/bone/brain genetic gifts for the most part.
More recently I have had a nasty infection (months)& having teeth pulled. I hope the infection is GONE soon. It feeds the other problems ,so I'm dragging my butt more than usual.
The progressive mag~~I go there as soon as they are out going back in time is interesting too. They are always brief and to the point.

This is a good one to check for scams in science & medicine. Also the editors of reason. I have not been to their .org They have a thinktank too. That is my next stop. I want to check them out.
Have you noticed how twisted those two areas have gotten lately in standard practices? Scientific proofs and the eviornment get really weird with the enviormentalist switching sides to corporate. The phramacueticals using paid proof from Uni's and Dr. OR the way out is; to fire people whom do not come up with the right proof.
*grumbly*

i say abbi, you're not saying herbal meds or accupuncture are a scam are you. i can attest to the fact that accupuncture and herbs saved my son from having his sinuses scraped by the allopath and these same have shortened many a respiratory infection or prevented it for me. my ma was able to avoid knee surgery as well. as for me, who was most skeptical about its efficacy, i had repeated sinus infections one year that no number of courses of antibiotics could cure whereas a few treatments by the OMD and it was gone for good!
i do think that is not a bad record.

No! I am not. I would love to do acupuncture again
Only on pause due to funds. I am having alot of dental work done. No insurance. I have to go with priorities for now That's all!
I did follow the trail on Reason.
The thinktank.org connected to them is into privatization for water and power. I do not know much about that topic. A Cal. org

without the shadow of a doubt water privitization in particular and power privitization in general are the next major assaults on the independence and integrity of humanity, especially that part which is not as well of as those of living in Europe or No Am. it is a great horror that is visited even upon us already in the form of bottled water. just allow yourself a little think, eh?

I am convinced that clean water is the biggest practical human need at this time. It is shameful what corporations have knowingly done to water sources.Promises to resource it has not been accomplished that I know of.
I watched a program in the midle of the night on Genocide. I sat through 3 hours. It was the history of genocide. Famine seems to be the most archaic and successful to date. Water.....
Privatization seemed bad at first glance, I have not jumped into that particular issue. You can be sure I will be looking now.
It is always interesting to follow the money.

This is an excellant article in the yellowtimes.Very nicely done plea for the future and what US can do right;
Does it not seem obvious that the two most pressing worldwide needs are access to energy and water? Bring affordable energy to the people and the needs of life can be provided with amplitude. Bring water to the masses and the world can create a veritable Garden of Eden.
By providing the essentials of life in adequate measures, you will have eliminated, with one masterful stroke, much of the reason for aggressiveness and genocidal behavior. Think about it, Mr. President. You can become a veritable Prince of Peace. Of course, we need to follow up and strengthen and confirm our resolve to maintain a lasting peace.

thanks for the link. i hope you'll forgive my saying that i found it a bit loaded with platitudes. i am in conceptual agreement with the author's thoughts; but, his way of constructing his arguments and the support structure he uses i find a little inadequate. for example, almost all of the 'world leaders' he noted are white and european.
perhaps my thoughts are tainted with the fact that in my professional life, at the moment, things are really totally up in the air. to attempt to put it simply, i may be in charge of a higher ed classroom soon. it's been a long long time since i was last there and so much has changed. it is a bit daunting and it means major changes in my approach to everything though almost nothing else is changed other than appearing more challenging. do you kind of get what i mean?
now i need a little of that special to put that which i must deal with in the present and the near future into a useful construct. it is important, given familial responsibilities to do what i must to maintain a modicum of security and maybe even make what is coming at me into a great future - to borrow some of your words!
so, though i have no right to ask, i ask for you to think good thoughts and to send them my way!

abbi, I do hope that your mouth will be all well soon! I've been remiss in not expressing my sympathy for you. I send you healing thoughts and wish that whatever it is that you are having done will be worth more to you in terms of giving you a trouble free future than you what you have had to spend on it in emotion and in dollars.
I hope that the nasty infection will be a thing of the past already and will never again feed any problems in you.
now I've heard that getting shell based calcium supplements may help bone deficiencies and that doing lots of problem solving - starting with crosswords - is a great way to keep the brain in good condition because it is constantly forming new synapses and links that way and circumvents the deteriorated parts.

abbi normal "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein Posted Apr 24, 2003
I most certainly will *continue* to send you good thoughts energies. They were already aimed at you
The sincerely wish the best of luck & opportunities to you.
Most intense things happening in your life changes areas! Tough but doable. Sounds like there is a lot behind it. I am sure you are quite capable of handling the strife and change. I hope it will be interesting & full of hidden jewelsI do hope you will be able to hoot!
Yes ,I agree the writing was not the best. It's the meat(teehee, meet works too!) of the matters expressed.
No sympathy required I Appreciate ideas.
I find writing about the frustration helps a bit. I hate whining & whinging as a way of life Although when totally constipated emotionally speaking, it can be the best medicine! As long as you are actively doing what you can first!
The infection is still with me. As far as calcium ~ I am an oddity. I have way too much in most of my body causing me problems and abnormal bone growth. In my neck, I have far too litte. Prednesolone(?sp) reaction after a similar infection helped to eat the bones in the neck. I had high hopes for the "bone paste" routine. It's trials are not as spectacular as hoped.

Yes I am fine, Thanks for asking.
My brother (raised with) has been here. Love that man! I am extra tired today & need to finish studying for my vote tomorrow, City elections. That's my story.
What's your story today? How are you doing, going through your changes? Any good news for you?

had a story pulled. It was a true story about an experience her sister had. I wonder how much is taken now? It seems no moderation post shows up as before. Just gone. I was wondering if some of our talk about the press was pulled? *I* may have just lost it, not sure. I'll have more time after tomorrow

who is the you refer to and what thread please?
i confess to not looking back over our threads so to not being aware of what may be gone.
as for me, i am talking or attempting to talk to many different persons. i have to request a transcript from the old alma mater; i have to familiarize myself with course offerings and how to set curriculum; i have to meet the dept. chair, the dean, the president; i have to decide what i am able to do and what it is not worthwhile to attempt; i have to make sure that i package up and take key docs that form parts of what i did; i have to look for other opportunities; i have to make sure that my rights are not overlooked and that what i have earned is left intact; i have to make sure i continue to be a good father, a good spouse, a good brother, a good uncle and a good son....
Key: Complain about this post
