This is so cool.
First off, I want to say that I'm really impressed with h2g2.
I've been a fan of HHGTTG since I first borrowed (and subsequently lost) my best friends tapes of the Radio Series. My reaction to the series was.. "What is this?", followed by, "This is really bizzare", and then finally "This is too funny".
I then picked up the books, and the Infocom game (which I gave up at the Babel Fish puzzle).
When I heard that Douglas Adams had passed on, it hit me as hard as when Jim Henson died. It was like a close friend had died. But I'm assuming that whereever Douglas is, he finally remembered his towel.
I hope to contribute to the Guide (I'm not sure how yet), and I know I'll be reading it a lot.
I hope to get to know some of the folks that contribute, and I hope to have fun at the same time!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
