Reincarnation and the Soul
After many many years of personal research, including hands-on experience and practical exploration I have reached the conclusion that the phenomenon of reincarnation has nothing to do with belief, or religion. It seems to me that it is very close to becoming a science, bound by laws as rational as physics and as incomprehensible as quantum physics. Though I hold no academic qualification, and wield no authority other than that of professional killer and lounge lizard (25 years in RM Commandos), my practical experience in dimensions beyond the primal 5 senses of this life lead me to an understanding of afterlife, future life and past life that transcends, indeed negates all religion. In particular, the presumptuous claim of religious leaders to differentiate the hazy boundaries of morality are thrown into confusion by the discovery that we have all lived enormously varied existences that range through all colours of skin, all convictions of religious faith, and all imperfections of personality and physique.
With such knowledge, or rather such understanding beneath my belt it is difficult to restrain a cynical perspective on the posturings of religious, social and political authority, for I cannot avoid the conclusion that the ultimate authority, should we care to listen for it, is the autonomous and perpetual Being of the indivual human soul.
I am more than happy to engage in literary combat with anyone who thinks I have written nonsense. But beware ! I write from experience - YOU will be writing from a reservoir of secondhand opinion, moth eaten by the ages and echoing only the opinions of those who fear to open their own doors. Patrice
