Oh both
The mostly scene I also felt was quite good and not sure why it was deleted...
But then, what are we to say? My dolphins agree.

Yeah. Wasn't too long either. Maybe a gag they can do in a sequel, though.
There were several sheep featured in the movie, I'll point out. Right when the world's about to be destroyed there's a shot of some sheep.

fruit!
Wouldn't try a DVD on this pc now. It used to play them, five years ago, but not very well.
I do have two video recorders, you know. Linked in a threesome with the tv. One won't record anymore, the other won't play back. Between the two everything's covered . Except using them's a bit complicated so I don't very often, and now I've almost forgotten how and the remote for the tv only works intermittently...
The last film I went to was a Flicks in the Sticks one in the town hall. They started the reels off upside down.

?!
There are no sheep in the book.
Are there?

U168592 Posted Sep 24, 2005
which book?
I have a counting book at home with loads of sheep in it. and a wolf.

DeepThoughtBook G4.
(the only problem I have with MacDeepThought is that it sounds like a fast food joint started selling computers )
There's one shot of some sheep in the movie. The Vogons have just announced the destruction of earth. There's a picture of Hong Kong with the sound of people screaming, and some other cities, then there are some sheep running around Baahing.
Arthur threw up yarn, silly. Don't want to ruin it for Waz, though.

U168592 Posted Sep 24, 2005
aren't there some more sheep later on too?
*whispers so Waz can't hear*
When the tour zips over green fields?

Ooh, you're probably right.
Waz, you'll love the Mag... Magrumteevle show room. It's really quite neat.

I rather enjoyed the whole thing I must admit Not disappointed and pleasantly surprised in many places too
Enjoy when you get the chance Waz

LL Waz Posted Sep 24, 2005
Yeah? I really want to see it now. Despite these rumours of sheep.
I think I'll need to replace the pc shortly, is a pc a real substitute for a DVD player?

There were no sheep on the radio, that's for sure.
A fine way to spend an afternoon.
U168592 Posted Sep 24, 2005
dignifiedly? That's not a word is it? You're making them up NOW?
Depends what kind of monitor you have more than anything I think as far as PC versus DVD player is ocncerned. I watch movies on my old and cranky laptop and it's fine

Pin, are you sure there weren't radio sheep? What was the thing that was changed from a missile and was very unintelligent and complained whilst it fell to the ground? No, not the whale... Ah, yes bowl of petunias. Same mental capacity, I suppose.
(look at me, doing the seal's job for him)
I watch my movies on my wide screen PowerBook with it on my lap or at my side in bed, usually. Works for me.
Monitor's important, but so is the chair. You don't want to be watching a future cinematic classic for the first time in one of those swivel dealies.
A fine way to spend an afternoon.
LL Waz Posted Sep 24, 2005
Does this mean to watch on the monitor you need to be fairly close then? Or is that because you're talking about laptops here?
Beanbag, I remember those. Had one of those. In the eighties I think that was.

Pinniped Posted Sep 24, 2005
I can't remember when they last had a sheep on the radio. Incredibly obscure, ovines in public broadcasting. Outnumbered on the Archers by ferrets, I reckon.
I don't suppose they have the Archers in the colonies, do they?
Which reminds me, incidentally : we're really underwhelmed over here in Blighty with how pathetically tiny US cities have recently turned out to be. We couldn't believe it when Rita-news revealed that Houston is the fourth largest city in the US, with a pop of a mere 2 million.
You've been having us on. All that pzazz, and you're a completely insignificant little country. I'm frankly disgusted.
A fine way to spend an afternoon.
J Posted Sep 24, 2005
Well, I need my laptop close me because I don't like wearing glasses in bed. Plus it warms up my thighs
Which of those words do you have a problem with? Dealie? Gosh, I hope that's a word... or I've been looking pretty stupid for a few years.
A fine way to spend an afternoon.
J Posted Sep 24, 2005
I think you were kidding there Pin, so I won't get all patriotic.
Houston's metro population is around 5 million. That includes all the suburbs and the greater Houston area. I don't know if metro pop is what they're comparing to make Houston the fourth most populous, but it makes a difference because of all these damned suburbs. Dayton, Ohio's metro pop is something around a million, actually. But it's shrinking, because nobody likes it but me
