Helllooo!
And now for something completely different :
Why are not things always right?
Why do I think these things at night?
When will all heartache fade?
Will I need a bucket an spade?
Silly interlude comes first
But then thats how my mind works
A painful memory locked in cycle
Shot down in flames by taking the Michael
But random firing thoughts don't cease
Nor would I wish it, wishing only peace
Dreams of romance past and future
A dream to change the fate people
My life in one way is very simple
Yet in another just like a puzzle
I'm full of plans for the race
To keep myself up with pace
But the grandest of my dreams is nothing
Not when compared to my thoughts of what could've been
A woman who is kind, fair and beautiful
Thats whom my thoughts are sometimes full
The woman is like the greatest puzzle
A great friend, 5 years known, from then
A series of events conspired to take me away
So now just friendship lingers, I walk to another
But my thoughts linger on, of this great human being
Who now suffers of mind, sad with other beings
The world which so cruel does not understand
What a precious gift it holds in its hand
When the truely beautiful people are ignored
When that is the last thing we can afford
My heart beats for her, though I seek pastures new
She's is not mine, but her friendship gets me through

Well you know where I am, writing poetry is quite cathartic, supposedly

Couldn't figure out why only half of it rhymed at first, but on the whole -
Who do you think will win the weekend's big showdown?

"but on the whole - "
Thank you!
"Who do you think will win the weekend's big showdown? "
Well as much as I have had a thing about the Cybermen being vitually undefeatable, I think they're less powerful this time round, even with basically the whole planet being covered in them. I think the Dalek's will win. But I think how they'll do it, and how they've managed to stay alive will be the interesting thing! Whatever happens I'm predicting a fantastic episode!
And the other event... probably France

Ah, I've been annoying folk with that question all week!
They say Italy, I say Daleks. They say Daleks, I say France.
There was talk of the local group watching it on a big screen with Lis Sladen but it doesn't appear to be happening (either that or I'm not invited...).
Were it not for the Cybermen's vast numerical superiority and ready supply of over six billion potential reinforcements on top of that, I would personally back the Daleks for their higher technology and tactical cunning. As it is I predict a score draw.
(Even the Cyberleader appears to think he's got his hands full - all this alliance stuff is clearly just a delaying tactic while he brings the troops in to swamp them.)
May the best cyborg win!
