And people wonder why I worry about America...

Hi good people smiley - biggrin

Traipsing across the interweb I cam across the following:

>As George Grant, former executive director of D. James Kennedy's influential Coral Ridge Ministries, wrote in his book "The Changing of the Guard:"

"Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ -- to have dominion in civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness.

But it is dominion we are after. Not just a voice.
It is dominion we are after. Not just influence.
It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time.
It is dominion we are after.
World conquest. That's what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish."

You can read the entire text here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/20060514/cm_huffpost/020989

You could also try googling 'Christian Nationalism' too, especially if you want to find out where GWB's backers live.

Solstice approaches

As the light grows each day we look forward to Solstice. The day when the shadows are furthest from the mind and the heart.

But as we look forward we must not miss the darkness that is growing in our land. This week that darkness took a bold step forward to claim the hearts and minds of more of our people.

Across the country more people were persuaded by lies and half-truths twisted to seem reasonable, and my mind is transported back to Germany 1933. Then the National Socialists seemed reasonable, appealing to the petty fears and prejudices of the comman man, offering hope based upon an unrevealed darkness.

Look now to Barking and Dagenham where the standarten-fuhrers of Nick Griffin's Neu-Sturmabteilung have become the second power on the council. Look closely at the men that surround him. Hard-faced veterans of Combat 18 and the NF. Not men who care for life, liberty or the pursuit of justice, but whose only thought is to seize power and dominion.

You may hate New Labour, despise the Liberal-Democrats and distrust the green Tories, but each of those is committed to our quasi-democracy. No one with a clear memory of the 20th century can seriously believe that a fascist government would be inclined to share power with us untermensch?

I, for one, will fight against them until my last breath.

Let them come, for I have seen them off before and fear them not.

Blessings,

Gone east...

For those that know me smiley - smiley

Well I'm off on me travels again, this time to Japan. And before you all go green its all hotels, airports and factories. If I am very lucky I might be able to grab a couple of hours with the priests at Meiiji Jingu (look it up lazybones).

Be good while I am away, and if you can't be good try not to crucify anyone.

Blessings,

A Winter's Tale

I will go down to the woods tonight,
And there shall long remain.
With neither sound nor flickering light,
Until the dawning of the day.

For within that ebon fastness lies,
A many pillared hall.
Where through silence and sacrifice,
I may hear the elf king’s call.

And as I listen to that ancient lay,
I may see a silver field.
That ne’er suffered mankind’s sway,
Where none but to honour yield.

Perhaps I shall walk the faerie path,
That wends through that sweet meadow,
And come at last to the elf king’s rath,
To be greeted as friend and fellow.

There see laid upon damasked tables bright,
A feast for the Holly Lord,
There to dance away the solstice night,
Upon the moon dappled sward.

But with the morn I shall awake,
Turned ancient by the frost,
To my home my feet will make,
Tears freezing for what we’ve lost.

For what glory lies in man’s great splendour,
If he cannot see beauty in the dark night,
And measures worth by what he can squander,
Instead of what he can make good and right.

So ring out your noisesome solstice bells,
For the turning of the year,
But reflect on what the darkness tells,
It is the greed we must truly fear.

Many Solstice Blessings smiley - magic

The green, green grass of home...

I just couldn't resist passing this one on...smiley - laughsmiley - rofl

God: " Frank, you know all about gardens and nature; what in the world
is going on down there in the U.S.? What happened to the dandelions,
violets, thistles and the stuff I started eons ago? I had a perfect
no-maintenance garden plan. Those plants grow in any type of soil,
withstand drought, and multiply with abandon. The nectar from the
long-lasting blossoms attracts butterflies, honey bees, and flocks of
songbirds. I expected to see a vast garden of colour by now. All I see
are patches of green."

St. Francis: " It's the tribes that settled there, Lord. They are
called
the Suburbanites. They started calling your flowers "weeds" and went to
great lengths to kill them and replace them with grass."

God: " Grass? But it is so boring, it's not colourful. It doesn't
attract butterflies, bees or birds, only grubs and sod worms. It's
temperamental with temperatures. Do these Suburbanites really want
grass
growing there?"

St. Francis: "Apparently not, Lord. As soon as it has grown a little,
they cut it....sometimes two times a week."

God: "They cut it? Do they bale it like hay?"

St. Francis: "Not exactly, Lord. Most of them rake it up and put it in
bags."

God: " They bag it? Why? Is it a cash crop? Do they sell it?"

St. Francis: " No sir, just the opposite. They pay to throw it away."

God: " Now let me get this straight...they fertilise it to make it grow
and when it does grow, they cut it off and pay to throw it away?"

St. Francis: "Yes, sir."

God: "These Suburbanites must be relieved in the summer when we cut
back
on the rain and turn up the heat. That surely slows the growth and
saves
them a lot of work."

St. Francis: " You aren't going to believe this Lord, but when the
grass
stops growing so fast, they drag out hoses and pay more money to water
it so they can continue to mow it and pay to get rid of it."

God: " What nonsense! At least they kept some of the trees. That was a
sheer stroke of genius, if I do say so myself. The trees grow leaves in
the spring to provide beauty and shade in the summer. In the autumn
they
fall to the ground and form a natural blanket to keep the moisture in
the soil and protect the trees and bushes. Plus, as they rot, the
leaves
become compost to enhance the soil. It's a natural circle of life."

St. Francis: " You'd better sit down, Lord. As soon as the leaves fall,
the Suburbanites rake them into great piles and pay to have them hauled
away."

God: " No way! What do they do to protect the shrubs and tree roots in
the winter to keep the soil moist and loose?"

St. Francis: " After throwing the leaves away, they go out and buy
something called mulch. They haul it home and spread it around in place
of the leaves."

God: " And where do they get this mulch?"

St. Francis: "They cut down the trees and grind them up to make mulch."

God: " Enough! I don't want to think about this anymore. Saint
Catherine, you're in charge of the arts. What movie have you scheduled
for us tonight?"

St. Catherine: "Dumb and Dumber," Lord. It's a really stupid movie
about...."

God: " Never mind--I think I just heard the whole story from Saint
Francis!"
