Thanks T.i.T
If I will be 94 years old then I wouldn't mind leaving like he did.

smiley - ta all.. and as 94 himself would have said: "well, we'd better go back to work now", in my case meaning "go and sort out the bank accounts, taxes, house, furniture, ... insurances". That will keep me busy for some time.

I was just poking around about, looking at other's sites, etc., & came across this thread.

I am so sorry I didn't know what had happened in January. My father passed away 3 & a half years ago, but for us it was a relief as he had been in a nursing home for over 3 years - unable to eat or speak.

My extremely belated condolences & I hope you are now over the worst of it. Keep happy memories.

smiley - biggrinsmiley - ta, Shirps. Well.. face it, 94 years old and since my mother died (two years ago) he didn't really want to go on anymore. Cancer did the rest in two months time. By now it's mainly good memories. (and a brand new bicycle he bought three months before he died).

My dad left behind a telescope he had made himself some years ago, but after his first stroke he took it to bits! We have all tried to put it back together, but he left no plans or drawings, so I am afraid we have failed smiley - sadface We'll keep the lenses & ... dump the rest.

It would have been good to have kept it, even though it was quite large, but there are more up-to-date ones now.

My mother is still around, just, she is in respite care after heart failure for the second time & 3 weeks in hospital, but my father left enough for her to be comfortable & purchase whatever she needed - hence a stairlift, bathchair & 2 outdoor mobility scooters!!!

I'm in the middle of sorting her house ready for her return - don't we collect alot of junk during our lifetimes (me included) smiley - laugh

smiley - biggrin "don't we collect alot of junk during our lifetimes" .. this is in fact the only thing that really worries me at the moment.. I have a fairly large house with a huge attic.. narrow foothpaths in that, lined with boxes, cupboards, stacks, ... and I ignore the tv sets inherited and waiting for someone who needs them (setS and "them"), the eight bicycles in the shed.. ten chairs in there as well and ... smiley - wah
then again I have at least 42 more years to live so I don't really care smiley - biggrin

I aim, one day, to label any 'important' bits in preparation, but that's about it - till then I'll just keep on adding to the piles smiley - laugh
