It means that I am on my way to university right now after putting ada in the laundry (she has had an operation that means she can't go outside and it costs $30 to put in at the vets). I will be back about 2ish to answer all e-mails, inquiries and play with ada. Thankyou for your time.

As she has stitches she can't go outside. The laundry is the only place in the house it doesn't really matter if she decided to go to the loo while I am away or not. I rather that then spening all he time in a cooped up cage at the vets which costs money.

Why did she have to go under the knife in the first place?

She ate a computer mouse ball, they are not small and this one was made of lead so removing it was a must.

Wow, another item to add to my list of things not to eat. Thanks for the heads up.

lead posioning is not fun, so I wouldn't.

I should think not... I remember how fascinating it was when we dissected our first computer mouse... All the wee fiddly electronics... Oh, and the ball, lead, coated in rubber. We've still got the lead somewhere...

I've never inspected the inside of a mouse ball. I always wondered what made them so heavy.

i always thought they were made out of hard rubber.

Mr. Carrot Posted Feb 25, 2004
Nope, it's a wee rubber coating around a solid lead ball...

Mr. Carrot Posted Feb 25, 2004
I have no idea why, but there's something incredibly fascinating about peeling off the rubber coating. Also, it's important to know if you accidentally swallow a mouse ball...

Tacysa Posted Feb 25, 2004
pray tell, how could anyone ACCIDENTLY swallow a mouseball of any material?
If you are reading this....
Mr. Carrot Posted Feb 25, 2004
Well, let's say you're going to clean out your mouse, right, so you take out the ball and put it on the table, only the table is slightly askew, so the ball rolls off it, and into the working model 2nd century BC catapult you built just ten minutes before, then it rams into a picture, severly damaging the frame, and then falls onto the ham and cheese sandwhich you made for yourself... You put the lid on the sandwich, mistaking the mouse ball for a tomato, and... well, the rest is simple, really...

Tacysa Posted Feb 25, 2004
How could you stuff the mouseball and sandwich and not feel a lead ball when chewing? Or, supposing that your mouth is big enough to not have to chew, wouldn't you feel the mouseball sliding down and try to induce vomitting?

Either that or you should look into hydroponically growing your own tomatoes, the ones you've been eating definitely aren't up to quality.
Yay! I love still-on-topic parties!
