I'd never heard of loup dargent before - it all sounds a bit spooky, but interesting. There's certainly some stuff goes on.

loup dargent is usually busy quoting in LeisureDistrict...

And since the subject of
ufos/MIB and other unexplained events came up in the ld library its like visiting a virtual convention there... hehe...

But loup dargent and his friends are a great bunch and do have a good sense of humour too. I hope to be able to incorporate some of their witty remarks especially the one regarding the MIB. Maybe i could use my journal for that?!

And yes there seem to be lots of unexplained things happening around us; to quote loup dargent "life on earth is not as boring as some people think"...

Glad to hear you're not really suffering. I like some things to be unexplained - if everything was explained then I think it really would be boring.

Yes we don't want to be bored with too many "explained" things do we?!... hehe...

I just managed to get online; Telewest had problems because of a storm in my area...

Rather frustrating as i could have had a good look around in
h2g2...

As for unexplained things you might have noticed that i changed my nickname again...

Well really the full nickname should be Chris GARRU aka loup dargent. Yep i'm me... i am him or he is me... oh boy i'm confused now... hehe...

As it's advised to write entries in the third person i thought it would be weird to have the same name than the person i was going to write about (and now it's even weirder me saying that...)...

loup dargent is really my username in LD and because of some of the events i will write about it was important to keep that name for the story...

And oh yes i DO have theories...

When it comes to ufos and of course MIB i do not dismiss other's theories; i believe that not ALL sightings/encounters can be explained by ONE and ONLY theory... It seems that ufo researchers have a tendency to see one theory and think everything will fit in it... It just doesn't...

Each theory is as good as the other... Some cases can be explained by one... Some other cases by another one... etc... etc... Why not some ufos from outer-space AND some others from another dimension?!... Why should they ALL come from the same place?!... And of course some other ufos sightings might also have other causes...

I myself prefer the "other dimension" theory for many reasons but once again it might cover only SOME of the many sightings...

For example, we are NOW realising that an object might be able to travel faster than light speed (it was not theorically possible before)...
Plus one of the regulars from LD told me about "short-cuts" in space (I hope she will join us soon and explain that bit for everyone's benefit)...
So really the main obstacle for aliens to visit our planet on a regular basis, which was that it would take them 100s of years just to come here, doen't exist anymore...


Hmmmmm... That should start a nice discussion... hehe...

Hmmm - I don't really have any theories myself because I don't know a great deal about UFOs - other than a lot of people reckon they've had experiences. I just don't know one way or the other.

I've always thought that the idea that there's somebody out there is amazing, but the idea that we're alone is amazing too.

I HOPE there's somebody out there.

I had heard that it's now believed that some particles travel faster than light, but my brain starts to hurt when I try to get my head around cosmology and particle physics. Then there was that item in the news recently about a lab that had suceeded in transporting photons Star Trek style using lasers.

You might try posting something to <./>Askh2g2</.> - that's a really good place to get noticed and start a conversation.

As far as writing on here is concerned - you only have to write entries in the third person if you want to get them in the Edited Guide - which I recommend - it's fun to have your stuff read and you get your entry on the front page for a day.

You do that by submitting your article to PeerReview - check it out, all the information on what to do is there. If you find the writing guidelines a bit restrictive, you could submit stuff to Writing-Alternative, the Alternative Writing Workshop. Or you could just write what you want and post it up here for anybody to read, but you'll probably get more response if you submit your entry to one of the review forums.

There aren't huge amounts about this stuff on h2g2, so there's plenty of gaps for you to fill. There are researchers here with similar interests, though - you might want to have a look at A258644 which is a short article about the Roswell Incident - there's a load of conversations at the bottom you might want to contribute to.

Have a look at A626898 too - it should be right up yor street, and also has links to the h2g2 Astronomy Society and the h2g2 SETI group.

I will eventually submit my entry but i still have lot of work to do on it...

For the moment it kind of gives an idea of what i'm into so it's okay...

Theories on ufos are many but as i said before ALL sightings cannot be explained by ONLY one of them...

I hope that the regulars i have discussions with in LeisureDistrict will come join us soon; if they remember even half of what they told me there this space should be quite exciting and controversial... hehe...

My main objective at the mo' is to work around the origins of the MIB but, because they are part of the ufo lore, references to other entries on anything having to do with this vast topic will be useful...

I thought of making a special entry with links to the related texts; then the peeps won't have to search everytime they want to read something about ufos, aliens etc...

It would save lots of time and i wouldn't have to repeat what others have said already (well not so much anyway...)

I will visit the sites you told me about asap...

& its me that hes referring to about the u.f.o sighting & the M.I.B problems i had 4 over 22 yrs

but of course i will put my story on here in due course i hope every 1 finds it interesting & i also hope it will help others that are being silenced as i was
