We come from Squint Minor. The Entry for Squint Minor in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy says… It's Wrong. That's what I was going to say. It says: "Avoid contact with life-forms on this planet. Its inhabitants are astonishingly annoying. So annoying in fact that no words currently available to the Guide are adequate enough to describe them." This is a lie. We are lovely. I am lovely. So am I.
It wasn't our fault anyway. I warned them. No. I did. It was me. I warned them there would be a terrible disaster. A catastrophe. An accident. They were all going to die. We had to leave. I told them. You didn't. I did! Anyway Squint Minor was a terrible place. Awful. Horrid. Full of vile and dangerous creatures. Except for me. And me. Of course. They were stupid. Dumb. They didn't understand. It was terrible. Awful. I was so sad when it happened. I cried for days. I cried for months until I had refilled all the dried up oceans on Squint Minor. I cried until there was no more land left and they had all drowned. No you didn't! Yes we did. They all disappeared in a big puff of smoke. You've never seen anything like it. Yes I have. Of course you have - you were there. So were you! No I wasn't, I was too busy warning the others. So as you can see it wasn't our fault. So The Guide assigned us to Earth. So we can save it before it's too late.
