i see they are nominated for Best British Rock band at this years Brits. i hope they win. I think the Darkness will win though... i would like them to win too but Primal Scream i have a slight more affection for... probably cuz they're Glaswegian!(well some of em are anyway)

Last band I seen was The Thrills, It was amazing!
The week before that I seen The Strokes, It was also amazing

They probably will win, on the strength of one song too.

i think the Darkness will win... they had such an amazing year last year... the Scream have had a longer career(obviously and by far) but i think more poeple know about the Darkness... and they are surrounded by so much hype too. I reckon they'll win because of all that.

As for the bands thing, not many really come here,
And when they do the best bands usually go to small venues which can be very hard to get tickets for.

The best bet i to go to Witnness, Irelands answer to T in the park. Only we can get Guinness or Bud!!

sorry i haven't replied for ages... probs with h2g2.

anywayz... no i hadn't heard of that uni... im not sure which uni i want to go to... since im doing languages sometimes i wonder if i'd be better off going to uni in a foreign country. Any country which speaks either French or Spanish as its native language(and there's plenty countries to choose from). I dunno though... i plan to work next academic year... it's bit daunting though because most of my friends are going to university this year coming.

That whole other country thing can be a really good laugh, I know a few of my mates really enjoyed it. You should have a good think before you decide though.

Was in Glasgow 2 weeks ago, had a geg, went to some pubs/clubs.
Had a great time, spent a fortune but it was worth it.

Went to the union, place called the hive, was ok.
Another club think it was called the social, and a wee place right beside it thats underground cant remember the name of them, but it was in a square with loads of wee lights above everywhere (if that means anything to you)

But the highlite for me was a trip to a place called the riverclub on fox street, for a nite called saltlick. It was great, we then got passes to a party in a place called unit 15 or soemthing like that, but the cops were outside and they wouldnt let anyone in.

Went to a big greenhouse called the people palace, it was cool, and you can hire it out for parties and everything!

Sounds cool... i don't recognise the hive, the social or anything! Was the social the Woodside Social by any chance? That would make sense. You didn't go to King Tuts, the Garage, Liquid Lounge, Nice & Sleazy or the Barfly though?

oh yeah the people's palace... i was there not too long ago... i didn't know you could hire it though!
