Hi, Darth.
I enjoyed your note about Beethoven's
"Moonlight Sonata," and the difficulty
of mastering it all. You're absolutely
right on that! (I dreamed about Beethoven
last night; he was back from the dead
somehow, and had a job playing the piano
in our church. He would set people's
teeth on edge with some of his new,
dissonant stuff, though. )
The first movement is not too difficult for
beginners to play, but the other movements
can be very hard.

Yes...I have the 1st movement down pat, but it's the other two I'm having troubles with. The 2nd one doesn't sound hard, but I'm having quite the difficulty with it. THEN comes the 3rd oooooh, the 3rd movement
aaaah! I think it's physically impossible for me to play...I honestly don't think I'll have the ability...I'm a slow sight-reader, I'd almost DEFINITELY have to memorize it to be able to play it...it's a little frustrating. But, I did download the exact version I'm going to play (which I believe is the original) and have it on a CD, so I still have the beautiful music
I love this piece! Thanks for posting

I absolutely love Moonlight Sonata, it goves me sort of an envigorsating feeling whenever I listen to it. It's such a beautiful piece. My grandfather used to play it, but he died before I was born, so the song has a lot of meaning to my mother.
