been awhile

Welll...hello all.
Still living in Fife, but in Kirkcaldy now, which is quite a bit betterthan where I was. Only a few more weeks of summer holiday--you all have such short summer breaks here. We got back from the US last week, had an interesting time, blahblahblah. For actual updates on my life, see my livejournal.
Mostly I'm posting because I've finally accepted that Njan isn't going to hang around here much, that's it's no longer an 'us' community, so I can hang around for my own purposes now. We'll see anyway. 
My first goal is to go and read all of your recent journals, so see you in the comments.

oddly enough i've been online more than ever, if anything. not sure why i'm neglecting hootoo. i guess i must feel more like one-sided ranting more than contributing in meaningful ways, and since i don't want to force all my journaling tripe upon my dear hootoo friends i hang out at livejournal mostly. that said, if you're interested in the tripe, i'm at http://www.livejournal.com/users/elly_ah

Or whatever the abbreviation is. My six-year-old prefers to watch The Weakest Link over Blue Peter (which, I'm sorry to say, is one of the few shows left he's allowed to watch..I think the combination of being in school and being exposed to commercialism is just too much for him). I smelled odd things this morning. Turns out there was A FIRE AT THE PUB NEXT DOOR LAST NIGHT. I AM NOT HAPPY.
Endangering small humans is the most uncool thing one can possibly do, and I hope the drunk a**holes in question are NAILED TO THE WALL.
