Yeah, I think people should spend some time getting to know what their emotional needs are and yoke themselves in fitting ways. In this way I'd know to go chase Blues before Blicky

I think you're right Blues men can have a very odd veiw of women and can come unstuck if they deal with real people as if they are some sort of media created amalgam of "womankind".
Yes, Nyss, you're right despite what positive attributes I do posess I am crap boyfriend material. All that glisters....
Thing is I never try to act like anything Im not and then get all fed up of making the effort, I think most people know someone or several people who have done that. Inspite of making a genuine effort they cant be something they're not.
The "I just called to say I love you" thing is just a wind-up and nothing more. Most of the guys I know have willingly entered into marriage or relationships because they want to be that way.
