I'm here partly because I have a long-time interest in using the web to support community (how does this group work?), and partly as a reaction to the guide entry through which I found this place (how do I get this thoroughly misleading entry changed?).
I've lived in Reading, Berkshire (subject of the entry) for 22 years, and come originally from Enniskillen in Northern Ireland, via Ghana and Hove, London, Gloucester, Bristol. Married with grown-up children. Background in marketing and the application of computer technology (and in philosophy), and an increasing interest in the way human groups work and in how we might govern ourselves better. Member of Reading Quaker meeting.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
