Appropriate Latitude
Posted Apr 12, 2008
What to do. Latitude is a summer festival in Beccles just up the road, purportedly the best entertainment to come to East Anglia since the Vikings. Sigur Ros are headlining on the Saturday, which could be an amazing experience. Alternatively the Breeders and Grinderman (aka Nick Cave & The Worse Seeds) are on Sunday. I can't afford the whole weekend - it's too far to go home each day, and I hate camping. I'd love to see Sigur Ros, it could be the spectacle of the year. But I've got "Heima" on DVD, would very much like to see Nick Cave, and I still love Kim. I could go home when Interpol is on, if there's a Sunday bus service - or I'm stuck with no transport or camp access, and a 45 mile walk home. I have friends going, but they're doing the whole weekend. I'm tending towards the Sunday at the mo.

Daddy thinks I'm fine

but then he would.
I'm going to get myself into rehab - a detox clinic to be exact. I've been drinking so much, and often, and most of the time on my own. I had a mini-intervention of sorts from Tom on Saturday, and I'm digging a fairly decent hole for myself about it. Time to do something about it, or I'm going to end up like Amy Winelake.

I made this
Posted Apr 6, 2008
I'm starting this thread for posting things I (or you) happen to have made.
So, waiting for a virus scan, I decided to put together this Ewok disco track. Sorry.

While you were out I forgot my job

I got a book delivered today, I recently ordered via Amazon. Don't worry, it's mostly pictures.

It's also a fair bit bigger than I made any effort to expect, decent atlas-sized - so I got a card saying it was too big for the letterbox and I'd have to pick it up from the sorting office. Oh wait, no I didn't - it was left leaning against my front door for any turd to steal. Fortunately no-one did, making it all the more beautiful.

Besides being the day we all scour the papers for news of pasta trees and ads for cars that run on milk, today would have been Barton's 60th birthday. U160070
