I agree with a few, Se7en and Superman in particular. But where's Alien? Bullitt? Monty Python & The Holy Grail?

Worst of all, no singing dolphins!

Taking stock

In two months' time, I'll take over as manager of my little department of the NHS. We take in and ship out prescriptions, medical stationery, needles & syringes, Needle Exchange equipment, health promotion leaflets, Bookstart packs, and retain medical records of the county's deceased. It's probably the biggest responsibility I've been charged with, and begins with a starting salary of £15,500 a year. It's an embarrassment of riches to me, and I'm proud to have got to this point; but it's depressing when I think of what I *could* have achieved, had I not spent the better part of half my life off my face. How the mighty are fallen.

RIP Captain Bird's Eye

You introduced a generation of kids to the delights of your fingery fish treats. Now you must join them in the freezer compartment. Farewell Cap'n, may the wind be at your sails.

Oh, and Anthony Minghella's dead.
