I must try and get a copy of his union-bashing 'Stand Up And Be Counted' single. We used to play it at school and sing along for a laugh

Afraid the theremin's not midi-compatible... or much of a theremin, to be honest.

Hmm. That's not good. Being a theremin is usually a theremin's only talent.

For £40 that's what you get, sadly. Proper analog ones start at £100 minimum.

Well, here's an interesting link if you're interested in this sort of thing. It's a thread on a poker discussion board where Steve Albini (out of Big Black, producer of note) fields questions about his career and the Chicago music scene, and comes across as a bit less of an arrogant shithead than he did in the Pixies biography.

Steve Albini's not that arrogant- he's a bit full of himself, but I've met worse. Alain Jourgenson, for one. K and I saw Shellac open for Iggy & the Stooges about a year and a half ago or so.

I sent him a limerick.
I'm sorry you're feeling so rough
But I know you're exceedingly tough
And we all hope that you
Return swiftly to Clue
Since you've clearly not suffered enough.
