Encounters of the weird kind, from Nimbostratus
Extract from an introduction:
"Hello"
"How do you do?"
"General state of health, fairly satisfactory. Slight galeanthropy and a bad case of dandruff. Sore knee and an occasional bout of hiccups accompanied by flatulence. I also have some pains resulting from my colonic irrigation therapy, but you don't want to know about that... you?"
Well, that taught me never to query after a new aquaintances' health (especially when they are getting on in their years and losing their marbles). You can bet your bottom dollar when I said "nice to meet you", I was lying through my teeth.
I hope you've learned a lesson.
