Laughing

I am currently laughing about ads. For instance, the bottled water ad (Aquafina?) where the quote is 'So pure, we promise NOTHING.' is just utterly brilliant and hilarious beyond belief. Also, I saw a UHAUL truck today that said 'The van that rides on air!' on the side. I went to thinking (well not really) and realized that most vans have a tendency to do that as you have to ride on pressurized air in the tires..
When I was travelling to Savannah, I saw a road sign that said "'Have you read my #1 Bestseller?'-God". Now, if there is a God, and 'He' has to have road signs advertising the Bible, I'd say the world is doomed. 
Ooo ads are just so wonderful!

Pain..

Does anyone else see pain as an essential to human life? Look at the wide-spread concept of inflicting pain (pinching) yourself just to see if you are awake!
It seems that plenty of people need pain whether to heighten the experience of whatever activity or event they are enacting at the moment. Maybe pain just makes life more real and understandable.
As shown in the Matrix, people seem to need pain or they just aren't pleased with what they have. Perhaps it is because they have nothing to compare happiness with without pain, sorrow, suffering, and misery?
So, be sad, be in pain..all it means is that you are human (well, it probably means quite a bit more, but those are mostly situation specific meanings.)

Storms

You know what? I love storms. I've been running around in the rain and lightning and thunder for a good half hour now..and am drenched. It's so FUN! Invigorating..purifying..serene yet not.. Aww storms..

Ow. Pain. Beauty. More pain. Oh dear..my fingers are sooo cut upt hat it is incredibly hard to type (I have 3 bleeding cuts and coutnless amounts of slices that aren't bleeding but are annoying as all hell). I have 4 more days of this with 6 hours each day. I made a palm tree a box and some beads today. Unfortunately, or fortunately for those that live here, we are not usin complex and particularly dangerous machinery. Just painfully paper thin sheet metal to cut up your hands on accident with. I get to start on rings and much more with wire tomorrow. We also get to use thicker metal..I hear it doesn't cut so bad. I'm really enjoying this camp! The scary thing is that that is the truth!
