More Pre-IB

Awww well..still ranting about IB, but it's really not that bad for me. I found out today that one of my classmates is getting ulcers because of the stress with Pre-IB courses and she is only getting B's and C's..Freshman year is also the easiest year of the Pre-IB and IB program. I find that to be rather scary!
Anyhow, so this week is exam week for the quarter and next Friday the grading perios ends. *shudder* I hope I don't manage to fail any of my classes! Also, I have a science experiment due November 11th. I should probably go study, but the probability of that is so slim that it makes me laugh.
Last Friday I went to a football game of my home town (but not my school even though it is the one I am zoned for..) and ran around with some of my intelligent friends that happened to be taking seat cushions and making them into Italian throwing stars, not to mention playing cellphone tag. One also cut up some shiny foil from a gingersnap bag that we got to run around with and pretend were hats, and I got to see all my old band friends!!!! YAY! MAybe I can go to one this Friday. Football (american if you were wondering) draws an interesting crowd..
Well, that's why I haven't been online much lately and probably will continue not to be on much. So, if you want to tell me something quite important I would suggest putting a posting on my P.S. in reply to a journal or just posting it, so that I can see it right away. Thanks!smiley - ta
P.S.-TI calculators are great fun to play on in class!

School

HA! It's the weekend! I've now been in school two weeks participating in the International Baccalauriate (IB for short) program at Spruce Creek High School (I plan to add a link soon). I've been told that the IB program is the most difficult high school curriculum in the world (and yes IB is all around the world, based in Switzerland and the testing center is in Wales). Our high school is ranked to be the 6th highest IB school in the world (out of 1,100), and the 3rd highest in the Unite States (out of 42)or maybe it's 6th in the US and 3rd in FL..I WILL remember to verify that... Some more statistics are that 100% of Spruce Creek IB high school students go on to college, and that out of Spruce Creek's 158 (or so) graduating IB seniors, 5 million dollars in scholarship money was awarded..Nice eh?
Well, I'm sorry I haven't had time to be on the guide much, but I've just been swamped (I'm in Spanish 2, which is a level higher than most freshmen are, and there's a much heavier workload, not to mention everything else that I've had to do including travelling the extra 14 or so miles to get to the closest shcool that offers IB!)
Well, doesn't it sound like I'm bragging? I'm really not trying to, but I need to find some reason why I'm doing all this extra work..It must be the opportunities granted from IB (there's quite a few of them including finishing the equivalent of 2 years of college credit, being able to go to an international school much more easily, and if that all fails I can get into a Florida State College for free just by graduating from IB [I rather think that I won't be doing that if at all possible]) Ok, so now that I've bored you to what is probably tears, I'll stop because I have a 46 page packet in spanish, a couple of huge assignments in English, and studying to do this weekend for Monday. smiley - sadface Homework is AWFUL!
