I love the smell of horse manure in the morning

It almost always is. There there.
There's no drinking age-limit here, so pretty much all of my class drinks heavily every Friday and Saturday.
If I'm not mistaken, 16 is when you /do/ plan "piss-ups" because it's till mysterious and adult. Afterwards it's just granted that there'll be booze there...

No drinking age limit? Where are you?
Hmm. We never organised 'piss ups'. We had parties, and there was booze, but no- one really planned to get blind drunk.

Hi
It`s Neugen (erm,pythonfan--esse)
I can`t re-enter the site under my name,so have absconded w/my mate`s site. All I can add to this conversation is that I prefer other means to view the all mighty than alcohol. My experience w/it is that it brings out the worst in people. Not everyone, mind you,my Dad was a cool drunk..while my mom transformed into Godzilla after a drink or 2.I`ve never seen that effect in my peers after smoking a cigarret(or 2).Conclusion? Better to smoke than drink.Politics interfere, but when have they ever had a grip on reality?

Hmm, I have never smoked in my life, but I do drink when the desire takes me.
But if and when I do have my tipple, I'm not forcing anyone around me to ingest any alcohol as well. But.. if someone lights up with a cigarette in my vicinty, I am forced to inhale all sorts of nasty substances.
Now, I'm all for individual rights, so if that person wants to breathe in all that nasty gunk, then that's entirely up to them. But when they start removing my right /not/ to inhale it? Well that's when /I/ turn into some kind of Godzilla, alcohol or none.
But this isn't a discussion on smoking

Personally, I think both habits are equally disgusting. Smoking in general is bad, particularly in resaurants (*choke choke*) but excess of drinking is worse. Try being near the local bar strip after hours... *shudders*
Tk.. what do you mean "turn into"? ~cheeky grin~

He he... me and my friends make a point of exaggeratedly coughing whenever near a smoker in a public place - rolling all over the place etc. It's great fun.

Of course excessive drinking is silly and pointless, but if I sit and have a pint or two, I'm not forcing anyone else to drink that, and I'm not affecting them in any way, am I?
Whereas someone lighting up just once will fill my airspace with mank. Just makes me want to puke, or grab the nearest fire extinguisher.
