You and me both! I can promise you this, if I ever won the lottery, I'd take care of my dear hootoo friends. And then I'd seriously get to work on rounding out my CD and movie collections.
What a lovely lot we are, always in the same boat and all paddling together. I love it, believe it or not. I bet if I got rich suddenly, I wouldn't know what to do with myself. Except for quit this stupid working for a living thing, of course.

Yeah, I think I have seen parts of that show before. I don't watch that much TV any more. I was just thinking that after a couple of hours of posting at you, I ought to have just phoned.
But alas, I'm heading to bed shortly 'cause it's nearly 9:00 and I get up at 5:15. Although I'm p*ssed off that I have to put another load of laundry in the dryer in a few and it makes noises (my roommie washes his jeans with coins in the pockets and they're all underneath the dryer basket, apparently) which will keep me up til probably 10:30... so why not stay online till then? Except I'm sleepy...

I'm pottering around online as the hubbie is out on the field this week..so I can toy with the web some.
I'm sat here in my huge nightshirt that's a lil on the hippie side with moons, suns and starsigns on it..tipp tappin away..smoking menthols - just recently I've started to smoke again after quite a few years of quiting..I shall give up again fairly soon tho...
I'm also off to bed soon...getting tired and hungry and I don't wanna eat.. If I go to sleep I'll forget about my stomach..
Just don't put the clothes in the dryer till tomorrow morning and let the coin bouncin wake your roomie up

Meh, f*ck the roomie. Clothes going in dryer now, and me heading off to the bed.
Your nightie sounds cool! I'm here in blue and black flannel pants, a white t-shirt, and a black London sweat shit I found at the thrift store.
As for the smoking, I'm no one to talk, but it's yucky!
Nighty night, m'dear... see you again soon, it was good seeing you online for a bit. Hope the huby makes it home soon, all safe & sound & achin' for your lovin' . Tale care, luv, talk again soon!

Hey, Vix, hope you slept well last night. I did, if not for long enough! Hope everyone else had a good night last night, too, and is doing okay today. Kaz and Abbi have some updates, and Vix has some photos I need to look at, I see... will check out what everyone's up to really quickly.
Tonight I'm off to the south 'burbs to visit the future in-laws (how cocky am I? ): K's sister, brother-in-law and niece are in town for a wedding this weekend. Tomorrow night it's the DOA show, then some errands on Saturday and who knows what all else. So I might not be around much till Monday. Feel free to post away in my absence and I'll read all about it then.

...catching up on backlog on this thread!
So: did you torture penguin killer with his rattling coins at 4am?
I will *try* & listen to K but if i try & download music, all else expires, so maybe best if you send link by email then i can shut anything else off & concentrate.
Hope you managed to get decent night's sleep. I was pretty sleep deprived 'cos i spent one night chez Himthing, then got up & went out working cleaning someones cellar out, so yesterday i slept all day, so today it's 5.30 am, ho hum, i am becoming a ; what the hell.
*flap flap*hangs upside down & sh*ts in cave*

...actually, thinking about it, it must be very difficult to sh*t whilst hanging upside down. Gravity is usually a part of the process, so unless they have incredibly great anal muscles "super sphincters", they would have problems & end up rather messy; unless s do projectile pooing...." look at that cave painting!"
Vix, this is maybe the sort of school project that G force would enjoy investigating?
hey, got a nice rhyme for him; after someone burps:
"pardon me from the bottom of my heart
if it had have come the other way it would have been a f*rt"

They do mucousy bags of excrement, which they remove and then let drop to the floor.
Hi PC, been following your life with interest, just havn't had much to say.
Gone right off h2g2, don't get the sense of humour of a lot of the people here, and feel its not home anymore. Just here really to help those in need. And have the odd chat when not panicking about the near future. Moonglums also still does not have work. Starting to have to think about what happens when the mortgage goes heads-up.

Hey all, just got back from watching K's other band play, along with two others. K is an awesome drummer, and both bands share the same bassist as ell, who is very talented, too. It was most enjoyable. If anyone downloads and likes the other band's stuff, please let me know and I'll pass it along.
Terri, if it doesn't work, I'll email a link: barring that, K says he'll give me a CD to send you- it's about 10 years old but still enjoyable.
Kaz, no worries, I understand, I feel the same way myself at times. I'll keep in touch via email as well. I do hope something comes through for Moonglum on the work front.
I'm wiped out right now so I'm heading to bed. I'm taking another personal day tomorrow so I'll be around, in between copying CDs and reading a book K's roommate lent me called "Under the Banner of Heaven", about the Fundamentalist Mormons in America. See you then.

Feeling slightly more coherent now after a good night's sleep. Had a pretty busy weekend!
Friday night K, his friend T, and I went to the D.O.A. show. The show was awesome! We ran into a lot of his friends there, and two local bands (people K and Co. know from the various record shops/venues/bands they've been employed in/played with) were the opening acts. It was an early show, so we had dinner around 9:30 and were home in bed before midnight.
Saturday we ran errands all day with K's roommates: to Target for new underwear for the three of them, to the thrift shop for me (I found a pasta jar made of green glass, got it home all right, washed it up, and found it slpit in half this morning. Must have been a combination of the cold air and hot water. Sh*t!! )
After all of our errands were run, K picked up T again, we had a Mexican dinner, then went back to K's place and watched a couple of DVDs from the Netflix: "Caligula", which I haven't seen fow a while, and the Monterey Pop Festival, which I apparently slept through.
Sat around in jammies all day yesterday b/sing and listening to CDs until late afternoon, packed equipment into the bassist's truck, set up, sound check... then a great show and five pints of cider before home and to bed.
And to top it all off, I've figured out what to get K for Xmas. (The bass drum needs new spurs. )
Off to see what everyone's up to and check email, then start this book.

hey!
Glad you have got such a good social life with your bf, Pc
Friend of mine picked me up today and we mooched around the mall havin a laff and hit Target. Unfortunately I could only window shop as I don't have my bank card to access my money yet and of course I have no up-to-date valid id because of the Govt..*chuckles* and so can't use my cheque book....*sigh* Saw some lovely decorations...
We are off to the mall on Weds too when I get my money out finally. Have to take G-force to the docs to get his ENT looked at before he can see the school speech therapist to make sure there is no obstructions.
We're gonna get Netflix too, sometime this week, Blockbuster is now officially sacked, they never put the videos in the right place and they NEVER have the new ones in.. plus there are always some loud obnoxious customers in there - not to mention the staff.
The drum needs new spurs? What to make it go faster? *heee!*

Heya Vix. A day at the mall with a friend was probably a lot of fun, eh? I haven't been to a mall in years: most of those are located out in the suburbs and I don't get out that way very often. Window shopping can be cool, or it can be torture. While we were at Target, I didn't buy much: a package of undies for K, a bottle of bubble bath and some Sea Monkeys for me. I did ooh and aah over a lovely little Henckels herb mincer kit- it had a mincer and a little board with a recess in it for chopping the herbs. It wasn't terribly expensive (only about $13), but I'm trying to keep expenditures down to necessities and perhaps an accasional inexpensive treat (hence the sea monkeys) until I have a handle on my employment situation. Apparently, though, K is keeping watch for things I ooh and aah over so he knows what to do about Xmas. (I'll have to be careful what I fuss over, then, and avoid frivolity for a while!)
Yep, the bass drum needs new spurs. It's got some homemade ones which seem to work all right, but it did rock a bit during some of the more emphatic drumming spots. Now the only question is how and where to procure them... do I made a pilgrimage to the music store by myself, or have K pick some out?
I made a really obnoxious funny last night, during the two hours between the sound check and the show. Some obnoxious pop tune was playing, and while we were making fun of it, I said "I'm having this played at my wedding". K replied, "Done." So, , never one to miss an opportunity to be a wiseass, I quipped back "Oh, you're going to deejay, then?" I'm so lucky the guy has a wicked sense of humor... all I got was a filthy look.
Oh, well, off again to read some more of this book before I crash. I am absolutely EXHAUSTED today, still fighting the bronchitis and now laryngitis to boot.
