A Margin Note in History
I like music. Acoustic music. Jazz, classical, bluegrassy stuff. Some electric music, mainly funk. Rock & Roll is ok by me so long as there's singing and playing of instruments. Instruments...I play clarinet, saxophone, flute, banjo, and a little bit of harmonica.
I'm a software engineer. I sit and push around magnetic bits on metal platters inside disks all day. And electrons in silicon chips. They pay me for it.
I get along well enough with most people but I find that groups typically go downhill as the number of members go up. Humanity as a whole is doomed; so I accept that and try to make the best of my dealings with individuals. I could see myself buying a large ranch and hardly ever having contact with others. At the same time I like a good party. And booze!
