Yeah, not many actually enjoy the dissections. And you have to be careful of the kids who did.
So lady, how's the day been for ya? Any challenges or interesting bits?

Odo Posted Aug 11, 2004
I don't like the sight of blood so I hid in the corner of the room and did my homework. The teachers just left me to it, they didn't want to have to deal with a corpse; I still had to sit through all the instrucitons though.
It's deadly dull as ditchwater here. I want my students back, at least when they're around the time passes as we torment each other.
Hay ho, hopefully I've managed to book next week off work.
And yourself, busy today?

The Reverend Something or Other Posted Aug 11, 2004
Oh, mostly my usual. Just check the shelves for what-ever defective bits have come in from around the country, determine the problems and fix 'em. Once in awhile, there'll be one that really gets the grey-matter to working over-time. Those challenges I like best.
So when does your work pick up again? Early September?

Odo Posted Aug 11, 2004
Well enrolment starts on the 25th so hopefully I'll be kept pretty busy from then onwards.
Right, time to scarper.
Just in passing, ...
The Reverend Something or Other Posted Aug 13, 2004
*still wondering if scarper is anything like scampering, but more dignified and lady-like?*
Just in passing, ...
Odo Posted Aug 25, 2004
A scarper is much faster than a scamper; more of a dash, but a slightly short of a full pelt terrified .
"dignified and lady-like"
Two words that could never be used to describe me.....

Well hey, I was taught that until you know better, everyone is a lady or gentleman. I normally settle that matter with folks the minute they meet me, too much of the uncouth farm-lad left over.
So, nearly primed and ready for the re-commence of school?
Just in passing, ...
Odo Posted Aug 25, 2004
I can do 'lady like' on occasion, well I get away with it at dos and the like until I have to walk anywhere in a skirt/dress and heals. It just doesn't work, I'm far more at home in my wellies.
Well the college starts enroling students on Friday and no, the library isn't quite ready. Nothing major, just parts of it need re-labling after the move around I did at the beginning of August. The only problem being that I had a week off, and then contracted a stomach bug that has knocked me out this week. Have to go in tomorrow i suppose but I still feel .
How're things over with you?
Just in passing, ...
The Reverend Something or Other Posted Aug 25, 2004
Oh poor girl. Something very like a flu hit wifey and I the middle of last week, strong enough that I took Friday off of work. Had us down physically all week-end and I was even emotionally depressed. Not at all like me. But we seem to have recovered, just in time for another w*rk week.
All I can suggest is take it as slow as you can get away with, no high-heels, and much rest. Mind you, a few measures of may help.
For now, my w*rk day is nearly done, and I'm away to home. Do take care of you, huh?

of three.... Now there's an idea.
Probably best not, I'm feeling dizy enough as it is....
Oh I'll survive, I've got B and various concerned relatives phoning at regular intervals to check on me and I'm on the mend. At least I was able to enjoy part of my weekend.
Right you are then, see you around.

The Reverend Something or Other Posted Aug 27, 2004
Wonderful to hear. ANd yes, I've heard that you poor folks are being FORCED to have a holiday Monday. Oh the cruelty of it all, eh?
We've a long week-end on September 6th, "Labour Day" which is typically followed by the hordes of little-people returning to school.

I don't know how we're going to manage. The traffic, the crowds the weather. My poor alarm clock will have forgotten how to do it's job.

The Reverend Something or Other Posted Aug 27, 2004
Well, poor lady, you can rest assured that I will be pitying you terribly whilst at w*rk.
Have you any plans or outings for the week-end? Take advantage of your last freebie for quite some time?

Odo Posted Aug 27, 2004
Oh you lucky thing, being able to get into work..... I'll be thinking of you enjoying sitting behind a desk on Monday.
Not sure about the weekend, will probably just end up moving some more stuff up to the new house although I'm going to see if I can find something to go out and do on my birthday.
Just in passing, ...
The Reverend Something or Other Posted Aug 27, 2004
Ah, I neither knew that you were moving nor had a birthday approaching. Having left the military uniform behind, we finally bought a house and are done the moves for a very long time. And I certainly do NOT have a birthday approaching in October. One that would put the count at 29 with 17 years of experience.....

If I recall, it was you approaching a birthday, last we met. If I were to still have such things, it wouldn't be until October.
So, how's things been this past nearly-year for you?
