We could have a picnic in the park, in the style of the good old-fashioned kind of Summer Meets? Where kids would be welcomed (although I couldn't eat a whole one).

Nope. He most certainly has not. The people's friend, Boris, is entirely happy for you to drink your drink at your chosen destination...just not en route before or after.

Unfortunately I can no longer travel in London as public transport is too hideous to endure without a drink.

(As an aside: I was quite impressed by BoJo's first question time in the Hubcap, then he went and blew it with the drinking on public transport thing.)

Will this be within walking distance of the Park they call Tuffnell?

A picnic in the park would be cool.

Not sure about having kids along, i don't think any kid would survive one of 2legs's drunken sing-a-alongs without mental scaring.

Mental scaring, and, indeed, scarring, is all part of the process we call "growing up". I feel that it would be criminally negligent *not* to subject children to 2legs' singing as this would leave them unprepared for the true horror of growing up.

i dunno, serephina's lad is still sacred of him. Everytime we've mentioned 2legs might be coming here he goes "nnooooooooo!" at pleads to stay the night at a friends house.

how about a nighthoover mini meet?
Me? scare? Children? Actually there might be soemthign in that... I was put in charge of my Godson at the weekend, and he burst into tears within a minute of his father leaving the room.... A passer by asked me why he was crying.... I told them, 'I just told him it was his round' They're pet dog didn't seem to like me either, it bit me on the neck, ankle, arms, hands, and nose. Then it tried to chew my boots and I had to kick it away Children don't like me; Personally I blame the government.

How about meeting in middle ground? Yorksire? The Lakes? Derbyshire (Arbor Low is lovely at anytime of the year and there are some rather excellent pubs nearby)?

Make a proper do of it...camp, B&B it..
