This is Your Journal. Where else would you vent your pitiable crap *and* get support about it? Huh? Go on, vent and vent til you're done. We'll stay, and whoever doesn't want to stay, read and support can sod off. So there.

Can I join in for a minute please?
Yours and my "situations" arn't exactly similar, but they're comparable Serephina. My health is crap (in a different way to yours) and the compulsions I fight against arn't the same as yours, but they're the same route of self destruct.
The feeling of despair are *definately similar
You mentioned in another thread of yours, you've tried hypnotherapy to help stop smoking... would it be worth your while to ask the Hypnotherapist to refer you to a Clinical Hypnitherapist. One who works with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
I'm not saying it'll be the answer to a maidens prayers...
but I found, when I had a couple of sessions with one of them, the "compulsive stuff" I was doing (and had had YONKS worth of councelling/soul searching and general angst) just - well, it just ceased to be important to me any more, I didn't need the compulsions/thought patterns and I just STOPPED em. No effort, no pain, no angst. And it was relatively easy to feel (emotionally) better as a result.
...which in turn, might spiral and improve your health over a period of time. (And mine, too - I haven't actually noticed any positive changes yet, but then I don't think even hypnosis can encourage a body to regenerate a spine)
(It can encourage you to feel less pain though. Apparently)
Of course, you also have to do a load for yourself - practical stuff, like change your GP, hassle the Social Services... nuts and bolts stuff.
Which is what you're doing - or trying to do. Tain't you thats the problem, itsthe Others!
Which yes, I know wears you out.
Anyway, it might help, it might not
An ounce of practical help or advise is worth a pound of sympathy sometimes
Hang on in there kidda.

I've heard of shooting oneself in the foot - but this is ridiculous!!! Someone's yikesed EF
You know the thread was moved from the entry to EF?
and I had such a good rebuttal for our friend, too.

It's absolutely bloody rediculous that they think they have the right to say what can or cannot be on the front page!

Good Luck - and remember, the KEY words are CLINICAL Hypnotherapist. I suggested one who's expert in NLP because I found that particualr skill worked brilliantly for me.
I think you're Surrey way, arn't you? If all else fails, get in touch and I can let you have the details of the one I went to (in Kent)
Or I can let you have them at the London Meet, if that'd be easier?

There are always people who won't let things drop and insist on pushing their point of view, thats their privilege , and they only end up making them selves look bad. Don't be drawn into it anymore serephina,it will effect your health, you need to concentrate on getting well. It's down to editors etc to make decisions about things that go into the guide and the responsibility to answer lies with them
don't let it get you down or stop you writing
