My middle son had pneumonia when he was six, not at all pleasent, had to have an op to drain the lung

During the illness (before the op) he once asked 'mum am I ever gonna get better?' still brings a tear to me eye now! He's got some ace surgery scars!

Mags, has your hubby had a blood serum test for levels of B12? I would suggest you go stomping in there demanding one if not - from the Neurologist, not the GP. Do you live anywhere near London? My SIL was on all sorts of meds for years and when I took her in for a full battery of tests, it turned out she was B12 deficient as well having some cortex damage from suspected meningitis 25 years ago. She had been on several different meds, including anti-epilepsy, Prozac and othes Now all she needs is a B12 shot every 6 weeks.

Wilma, it's not that he's deficient in B12, it's just than an excess can help relieve some of the symptoms of MS, the new docs just don't believe it at the moment We'll get there, afterall they are seeing him regularly, so will know, when they let him have them again that they are helping.

back to the dr to ask yet again for some psych help methinks

it will be your ill health getting you down. my daughter has very bad asthma..it gets her down too.

It is my health and I really need help to sort it. I've been to my dr n asked for help to no avail. I want to be healrhier n not just sit n destroy myself with fags n food but its like a compulsion i cant fight or rationalise. i wont see 35 how im going, or if i do it wont be much of a life in a wheelchair on oxygen i dont want that, im terrfied of that but still cant stop what im doing. some days i feel like sending ged back to his mum, josh to my mum n just goiing to sleep n not waking up..theyd be better off. I need a psychiatrist or at least a damn good counsellor

If you are feeling like this then you need to persist with your Dr. He may be a twit but need a referral! Keep trying!

If the doc's that awful might be worth finding out how you get a change of GP

I'm trying the dr again on thursday..soonest eappointment theyve got and will be looking into changing my GP asap

I've just emaled the local mental health trusts patient liasion team too and Jos support worker is looking whether she can reffer me herself

and the emails bounced, youd think theyd advertise the right address!
