I think that your move to find ease within yourself before anything else is a great idea - one step at a time is the only way to start a journey
It's nice to know that I have been some help
What race were you watching?? Where in Oz was it?? I'm not into sports so I don't keep up with that sort of thing
Great country?? Yeah - we like it - I'm sure that you would too.

the amazing race is an american show that takes teams of people around the world...it is a contest like survivor, the last ones there win a million $. they were in sydney to start, not sure where they are now...have to watch friday night...its one of those so called reality shows where they put people in unreal situations and see how they cope...the last to survive wins a million usually...i guess we are entertained..i used to watch the croc. hunter with the kids all the time too... always have wanted to go to australia..i think it was when i heard that there was no snow there, when i was a kid that made me want to go there...there was snow on the ground yesterday, there is something wierd going on with the weather, most definitely...it was the mildest winter i have seen, and the longest...its almost may and there was snow...the plants dont know if they are coming or going..well take care wildiris

Someone told me about that show - but what you saw must be a new series that we haven't got here yet - I don't watch much TV but I haven't heard anything here about them shooting here.
I hate to tell you this but The Croc Hunter is a bit of a joke over here - but all the money he's earning is going to a good cause - his zoo in Queensland is supposed to be quite good
And we HAVE got snow here BTW - The Snowy Mountains have a ski season each year and The Blue Mountains (about 2 hrs drive from Sydney get the odd snow fall each year too. There are mountains in Tasmania that have snow too. But we don't get snow like you do - the capital cities are snow free. Australia really has a very varied climate - there are rain forests in some areas and deserts in other areas - it's a big place, not just beaches and stuff - we even have big cities
You would love it

i knew that the croc hunter was a joke, i could tell, he is insane, but it is for the animals, so thats good...i have seen parts of australia there, and on survivor...i know i would love it!!! i love this country because it is soo big, and not many people...not sure about the population of aust. but there is only about 30million here..and it is the largest country in the world. there are 6 time zones here, mountains, prairies, no deserts, too much snow for that...but they have droughts all the time in the prairies...it was colonized like aust. and there are those issues with the natives as well...this country right now is a safe haven for immigrants..but i think that that will be changing soon...the states are freaking out because they think that we harbour alot of the terrorists that are out to get them..i wouldnt doubt it either...politics yuk this stupid war on terrorism is going to go too far...watch out for the next major war...its coming up...as soon as the americans egos are hit again that will be it...they have the money and the big guns to do it...canada has nothing..not much national security here..hope you have some...we dont have a choice but to go with the states...we have to support anything that they do because of the resources that they buy from us..if we lose that we lose billions of dollars, and we are too polite, peace keepers wow dont know where that rant came from but what the heck its there...take care wildiris

Yeah - I know what you mean - the government here just follows the US without thinking Unfortunately it seems to me that we have politicians and businessmen leadiing our world and not statesmen.
I've been working long shifts lately so haven't had much time online.
Haven't forgotten you - just busy
Hang in there ....

guess i didnt tell you that i am a chef, sorry, yes i am a cook, have been for 12 years. very tired of food though....but i can do it.. really tired right now, but i am keeping busy, and trying to stay out of trouble.. have been looking for an apt. so that i dont have to stay at my parents house forever...and so that i will be in town, not have to drive 20 min. back and forth, it will save me money in the long run, since i have to spend 50 dollars a week in transportation, and i will have more freedom, and be in my own space...well hope that all is well with you, take care wildiris

Sorry that it's taken me so long to reply - unfortunately I am one of those who is currently fighting the BBC servers - the pages take so long to load, and life is keeping me so busy (no complaints there though) that I usually give up
I think that the move into your own place sounds like a great idea - it will get you away from your parents (and I KNOW that sometimes a little bit of distance there is an advantage - you'll probably all get on better when you don't live on top of each other) and you'll save time and money.
Just be careful that you don't become isolated and insular from your friends and family. It'll be fun foor you setting up a new home
Good luck

i have been having the same problem with the slowness of the system, i havent been on for a while...probably wont be getting a place just yet, will have to find another job, it has become part time now with the hiring of new people..most arent too happy about that..also the kitchen is ridiculously hot...it was 148 degrees the other night in there, thank god i wasnt working, usually it gets to 125 when i am in there, sweating like crazy..actually i think that our brains are starting to cook. have been puttering around in peterborough, my parents live in the country..talk about isolation..i have been starting to make friends again i guess, i am still fairly uncomfortable around groups of people, always have been...too shy, and cant cope with all the energies around me, if i stay in my own head space i am ok. well i will probably only be writing here once a week, so i hope that everything is going well with you and that you are taking care of yourself...kerri

am doing my best to stay , meeting people, and getting to know old friends again....working and sleeping...enjoying the sun when i can, and walking...my parents are away, and are bringing back an aunt of mine to hang out with us for a few weeks....hope all is well with you, i guess it is what you call winter there now...its almost summer..the flowers are out, the water is flowing, and the fields smell like manure...they are filming a movie in the small town that my parents live in, a disney movie called the music man, in about a week, they have been redecorating the buildings so that matthew brodrick and molly shannon can sing in the streets...it will be fun to see a hollywood movie being filmed here... dont know what kind of culture you have there, since i have always lived in north america...people are flocking to get a glimpse of the set, and over a thousand came to audition for 30 bit parts...i was working or i would have gone too i think, a bit shy though...well gotta get ready for work...take care wildiris....i signed off with my real name last time, oopps guess i should get here more often....

Glad to hear that things are going well for you
The movie sounds fun - is it a remake of the original Music Man - you know "76 Trombones" and "Trouble Here in River City" and all that??
They are shooting Matrix 2 or 3 or something in Sydney at the moment and I saw an article in the paper that they are going to fly a helicopter REALLY low - right through one the main streets in the CBD - that should cause a few traffic jams
They shoot a lot of movies in Sydney - there's a big movie studio in my area where they did Moulin Rouge last year and the last Star Wars thingy was made here too.
Yes Winter has arrived - but it's just cold and windy - no snow - temps are around 15-20C (that's about 50-60F) - so although we complain - it's really not all that bad. We have lovely cool sunny days and, if you can find somewhere out of the wind it's very pleasant.
Am working long hours at the moment, I do bookkeeping for a few small companies (along with other jobs) and it's just that busy time of year - oh, well ... the money comes in handy.
Keep looking after yourself - you seem to be a bit more content - keep it up

yes i am a bit more content...yes it is the remake of the original music man...same costumes etc...the set is getting a little dreary, all browns and greens, they start shooting tomorrow, today is tues the 11th of june i think, yeah it is....summer humidity has started in full swing here now...it was 38 today with the humidex...i love sweating...not really...im a spring and fall person, could do without the drastic cold and heat...i am starting to get a good routine down, my parents are still away they should be back tomorrow...and i didnt even have a party here...ah to be a teenager again....i have been running into old friends..and sort of making new ones....still get a little paranoid when i go out, too many people, dont know very many any more, just working on being able to be around people and not recieve all the energies that are around me...im a little too sensitive still...at least i can get drunk or stoned just by having someone that is around me hope that all is well, take care of yourself..and your loved ones wildiris

"at least i can get drunk or stoned just by having someone that is around me" - well, at least it's cheaper that way
Have a really busy week - went to my nephews' birthday party - yes "nephews" - 3 of them - 1 year old twins and a 3 year old all in the same family!! 3 boys under 3 may seem like bad organisation but at least she had the sense to have them all in the same month (a few years apart) so it's only one party a year. The twins were born on the 12th June and their brother on the 15th. But it was a bit hectic - all those kids!!!! Oh well ... at least I could escape - their poor parents are trapped!!
Been working long hours all week and am working all weekend - I need the money though, so can't complain.
Any chance of you getting a job as an extra on the movie shoot? That would be fun - you should give it a go.
Must go now - it's getting late and I have to w*rk tomorrow
Talk to you soon ....
Look after yourself

no problem...i havent been around at all in at least a month...not taking the time to actually...i was working like crazy....socializing too much...had my art show, realized that i cant stay here, and am just trying to figure out what i am going to do about that....well i think thats about it...havent been communicating much with anyone lately...i mean honest communication...the socializing is mostly just being with a bunch of drunks anyways hating myself lately...will get over it soon take care love wildiris...thank you for caring

Art show?? tell me more ... what kind of art?? How did it go??
"realized that i cant stay here" - so turn the negative into a positive - make that your goal ... something to work towards - make a plan of action .... where you want to go ... what you want to achieve etc and go for it!! Sometimes our feelings of discontent are because we have nothing to strive for - worth giving it a go ...
Hating yourself?? Don't do that!!! If you don't like yourself others will pick up on it too - be positive - even when socializing with the drunks - and there's nothing wrong with that (sometimes)
I really feel that you need to stop thinking about what's wrong with your life and start working out what you need to do to change it - and I KNOW that you CAN do it!!
Look after yourself - I'm thinking of you

thank you for being such a positive person...i must have been having a really bad day the last time i was here...the snow is starting to fall here again...which means i will be spending more time indoors..and will try to get on line more often...been working on a plan of action...still not sure what i want the most right now...an education...or to see some of the world...but have been saving money to do either, and finishing paying off debts....still working a fair bit...and taking time to think, and socialize without the alcohol, i can have a drinking problem, if i allow myself to, and i really dont need that right now...still trying to build up my own self esteem...but i do need to be able to do that with others i think...learning to open up to people as well...last weekend i went to visit with my ex and her family and it was awful...i was uncomfortable and couldnt stand the yelling, and the ridicule....and i couldnt stand up for myself at all...so i left... thankfully actions speak louder than words...anyways hope all is well with you too...how come you dont write about whats going on in your life? oh the show was mostly of my paintings....i did a retrospective thing from childhood to now...it went well i think, people seemed to like it, i do abstract paintings...with oil on canvas....some pencil drawings too ....sorry that i can be so negative...i am really trying to see the bright side of life....thanks again for all the kind words and being such a positive person take care love wildiris
