Oh yes. I remember...
Well it's very complicated. Mainly it's all psychological.....

There are no actual reasons for clinical depression. Often the depression may seem irrational, and it isn't rare for there to be no cause.
Depressed people are seen as weak or lazy and at often nobody realises until it's too late.
It's a psychological condition, it's like asking a schizophrenic the exact reasons why he's a schizophrenic. a) He wouldn't know and b) he'd probably deny that he's a schizophrenic. I wouldn't admit I was depressed until it was drummed into my skull. Happy people don't try to kill themselves.
There. Does THAT answer your question?

I'm dying. My 3 month old cousin is dying. My Grandmother is dying.
After birth all we're waiting to do is die.

Sylvia Plath was possibly the greatest poet of all time (It's hard to get what I meant unless you know about her and her work) Her poems are so amazing, and her later works were the most powerful and spectacular. Possibly my favourite book, The Bell Jar, was her first novel.
She was very depressed, she tried to commit suicide several times. The last time was a success. She killed herself with cooking gas after her marriage to Ted Hughes fell apart.
