Introduction.
Welcome, dear reader, to my subterrainean lair.
I suppose that since this is an introduction I ought to explain myself.
The purpose of deep, dark, dank cavern of woe is to try to gain your assistance (not assistants - I already have one of those) in the writing of witty remarks. And things.
My good friend Mr John Light (he has one of these things, somewhere deep in the recesses of space, probably in the corner, but not too far from the biscuit cupboard) and I have been engaged in the writing of hopefully comical radio plays and films and things for some years. One day we are planning to brandish these Things at the BBC, who will hopefully put them on the television (having moved the bowl of fruit that normally resides there).
Also (yes, there's more) I intend to seek opinions on certain plot lines for the novel that I am writing. So far I have completed half a chapter, if such a thing is possible, and hopefully it should be complete at some point early in 2027. It is hard work typing it in the dark of my cave on my rusty typwriter, but an artist must suffer.
There was some other purpose, too, but I have forgotten what it was.
I tend to do that. What? Forget. Forget What? What what? What what what? You see. Absent minded. I am the man who once tried to pay for petrol with a train ticket (the train ticket, in mitigation, was the same general colour and shape as a five pound note). Anyway, whatever the Third Purpose was, i'm sure when I remember it it'll be jolly good.
Oh yes, and I like P. G. Wodehouse.
