'The Origin of Species' by Charles Darwin.
Slow to start. Main characters are rock pigeons*.
Horror- Nil.
Action- Nil.
Humour- Nil.
Suspense- Nil.
Sex- Some breeding of rock pigeons*.
Overall- rather dull unless you are a particular fan of rock pigeons*.
* Rock pigeons are pigeons which dwell upon rocks, or occasionally, if they are not so well off, stones. They have variably sized beaks, toes, gullets, skulls, tails, feet, and wings, but are otherwise quiet creatures, who seem to like to keep themselves to themselves, indeed, I sense (reading between the lines) that they resent the intrusion into their personal lives Mr Darwin has caused, and were especially put out when he killed and skinned them to weigh their skulls.
